You know you've married a Chinese when.....

So, the other day my wife and I are at the global market and discussing whether to buy a 20 or 50lb bag of rice. We decided on the 20lb because a 50lb bag is not convenient to store. At this point, I realized that never in my life have I EVER considered a 20lb bag of rice to be a wise purchase as a 5lb bag would last me FOREVER. Anyway, I realized that this was a pretty good indication that I am in fact married to a Chinese woman. Just felt like sharing!

Feel free to add your own observations with your fiancee or spouse! :innocent::thumbs::whistle:

My wife is the same way, we have a 20lb bag of rice in the cabinet and we eat it for dinner almost every evening. When she sees that she can save money by buying bigger then there is no arguing with her. I am the same way when buying meat but she says the meat would turn bad before we finish. :bonk:

You know you've married a Chinese when....

you have storage space for a 300-shot jiaozi steamer,

and

a pot big enough to sit it on

and

a burner big enough for the pot.

(Aren't kitchen remodels fun?)

My wife also has a large vase with water peppers and some other items in it sitting beside the 20lb rice bag in the cabinet. When I ask what it is and shouldn't it be kept in the refrigerator, she says it is good for health,we drink it for soup. And I haven't gotten sick yet!

I guess my wife's been here too long for that. She was pressing me to buy and grill steak for dinner last night when it was in the low 40's outside.

Why is everything in her name anyway? I thought you only needed to co-mingle finances and property to prove a bonafide relationship! Why would you transfer ownership of assets into her name solely, are you trying to hide the assets from someone? If everything is already in her name she pretty much has you over a barrel! I would suggest a REAL GOOD lawyer in your case. Good Luck!!!
