I-130 for Sister filled in 2003

I'm a USA citizen originally from the country of Cameroon, Africa. I have been a citizen since the year 2000.

In 2003, I filled a petition for my sister, who is an adult over 21 years old.

A couple of weeks ago, I received a letter saying that the petition has been approved.

My question is this:

I know she still has to go through interview and Medical and all that.

Based on your experience, how long do you think it will be until she gets her green card?

it depends on the visa bulletin, you have to check every month. for September, the 4th category is in October 2001. so probably it could be more than 2 years, or 2 more years of waiting until her priority date becomes current.

then comes the second part of filing more paperwork. the i864 affidavit of support and other paperwork.
