Hi friends,

Can anyone who went thru' the chennai interview tell me if they asked for i864 from spouse/joint sponsor to be notarized? I see that in the chennai consulate website now. http://chennai.usconsulate.gov/immigrantstous/common-mistakes-on-iv-applications.html

Do they really insist on this?

In our case, there are two sponsors..the USC wife and her uncle who resides in another state.

Our case is already completed at NVC and we are awaiting the interview date and what can we do anyway, now? take a notarised signature on a sheet of paper or something to tell them its the same as on the i864 form?

at the time of filling up the i864 we went by this, http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3197.html where it states there is no need for notarization.
