We filed our Application for AOS on Aug 4. Per postal service tracking it was picked up on Aug 6.

We have not heard anything since and checks have not been cashed. I am wondering what others experience has been as far as how long they waited until they received a response?

Is their anyway to find out the status without having an NOA1 with a file number? It seems we have waited a longer time than should be normal.

We mailed our AOS on 03/10/06. Received NOA 1/I-130 on 03/20/06 and NOA 1/I-485 on 03/21/06. There is no way of checking on the status of your case until you receive the NOA 1, because on those letters are your receipt number and alien #. You need that information to create a case on the USCIS website. Good luck, I am sure that you will receive it soon!

05/12/06: I-130 approved

05/18/06: NOA 2 / I-130 approval

08/15/06: Email: 'Welcome to America' letter mailed (Day 151)!!!!

08/17/06: Email: I-485 approved & GC ordered

08/19/06: 'Welcome to America' letter rec'd

08/22/06: Email: Notice of approval mailed

08/25/06: GC Finally Received!!

05/15/08: Apply to remove conditions

We posted ours on 7/29 and they were received 8/5 and we *STILL* haven't gotten our NOA1.

Nice to know we're not the only ones in the lurch.

April 6 - wedding date day 204

Aug 22 - AOS interview date day 101-total days 342

Sept 29 - green card arrives, done until June 2008 day 140-total days 381

June 30 - I-751 mailed total days 1025

2009

March 9 - Removal of Conditions approved! total days 1277

We got ours today, 8/19, even though the checks were cashed a few days ago and the NOAs were went on the 15th. Stupid slow post office. Oh well, because they took so long to get back to us, we were able to check our status at the website and register for email updates today (day of NOA receipt.) :D
