1976 had nothing to do with it. The tuck rule is controversial and there have been a few other noted uses of it, but nothing like a playoff game to bring it to national attention. The way the rule is written, the officials made the correct call. Is it a good rule? Not really, IMHO.

whistling.gif i sense that Spook Patriot is upset. No use rehashing it, recrimination serves no useful purpose. Vinatieri was THE difference in the game.

I wasn't going to bring bad karma into it. Oakland fans are upset at the call when the rule is the problem. That kick was the beginning of the Vinatieri legacy. I love games in that kind of weather and like the weather in Chicago a week ago. Mr. Manning doesn't do so well in outdoor condtions. :devil:

Mr. Roethlisburger is better in poor weather but he does even better in washroom stalls.

The dome teams don't usually do as well outside. Green Bay, Buffalo, Jets, Giants, Steelers, Bears and Pats are tough at home in December and January. And Denver is always a tough place to play too.

I like when they play the Pro Bowl in Hawaii. Those are usually the toughest conditions, with the most brutally contested games. Man, when those blizzards kick up at Aloha stadium it's ridiculous :innocent:
