Except they'll probably have to go thru Atalanta, or New Orleans or Philly to get there. Face it, you're still pissed because I made up that gay song about Brady.

We already beat the Eagles we can do that again.

Drew Brees isn't so scary this year. Losing Reggie Bush really hurt the Saints early in the year, and he's sucked since. They have no run game and not much of a pass game.

The Falcons are the real team to beat in the NFC this year. Matt Ryan has been phenomenal. We haven't played them in the regular season, so we'll see how things go.

How scared are you of the Colts? That's really your only challenge, unless you think the Chiefs are a challenge. The Pats have the AFC pretty much sewn up.

We could end up with Pittsburgh or the Colts if we make that far. Either will be tough. But at least if we play the Colts, pretty boy Peyton will have to play outside, in January.

Steelers will probably beats the Pats, if it goes that far. Colts are going to have trouble with the Pats. Bills lost to Steelers in OT which means ???

I guess it means the Steelers aren't that good. The Jets beat them too. And if any of these scenarios play out, it will be in our house. Foxboro is good for the Patriots in January.

Not a chance in hell that will happen. The golden boy tells the refs what is and is not a fumble. But then again, we have horrible luck with refs in playoff games in the northeast. Screwed by the refs against the bills too. Effing Darryl Talley.

Except he wasn't the golden boy when that happened. He was playing because Drew Bledsoe had been injured earlier in the season. No legacy, no superstar, no Brady magic. And of course you know that the tuck rule was already in place in 1999 and not made up for this game which took place in January 2002. The only point for controversy is whether Brady was actually attempting to pass or was bringing the ball in for a tuck. The play was reviewed and the call defended by the NFL. Call it what you will, but remember Brady was a no name when it happened and that's the way the rule existed. The rest is history.

Edited to add:

NFL Rule 3, Section 21, Article 2, Note 2. When [an offensive] player is holding the ball to pass it forward, any intentional forward movement of his arm starts a forward pass, even if the player loses possession of the ball as he is attempting to tuck it back toward his body. Also, if the player has tucked the ball into his body and then loses possession, it is a fumble.[4]

Citing this rule, referee Walt Coleman determined that the rule applied because Brady's arm was moving forward before he decided not to release the ball and Brady had not subsequently "tucked" the ball into his body. Thus, the original call was overturned, and New England maintained possession.

Bledsoe was a fine QB. I'm just surprised that you didn't claim that it was fair considering what happened in 1976.

1976 had nothing to do with it. The tuck rule is controversial and there have been a few other noted uses of it, but nothing like a playoff game to bring it to national attention. The way the rule is written, the officials made the correct call. Is it a good rule? Not really, IMHO.
