After worrying about it for 15 days, and waiting for my fiance to send her docs.... the time has finally come.

I just overnighted my petition to the Nebraska Service Center.

Wish me luck!!!

They say that time changes things, but you actually have to change them yourself.

08/17/06 - NCS received I-129F

08/28/06 - Check for I-129F Petition Fee cleared

Good luck to you two! :thumbs: Hopefully things are smoothing out and despite Nebraska petitions being shipped to California you get decent service and a speedy process.

  • April 2004 met online
  • July 16, 2006 Met in person on her birthday in United Arab Emirates
  • August 4, 2006 sent certified mail I-129F packet Neb SC
  • August 9, 2006 NOA1
  • August 21, 2006 received NOA1 in mail
  • October 4, 5, 7, 13 & 17 2006 Touches! 50 day address change... Yes Judith is beautiful, quit staring at her passport photo and approve us!!! Shaming works! LOL
  • October 13, 2006 NOA2! November 2, 2006 NOA2? Huh? NVC already processed and sent us on to Abu Dhabi Consulate!
  • February 12, 2007 Abu Dhabi Interview SUCCESS!!! February 14 Visa in hand!
  • March 6, 2007 she is here!
  • MARCH 14, 2007 WE ARE MARRIED!!!
  • May 5, 2007 Sent AOS/EAD packet
  • May 11, 2007 NOA1 AOS/EAD
  • June 7, 2007 Biometrics appointment
  • June 8, 2007 first post biometrics touch, June 11, next touch...
  • August 1, 2007 AOS Interview! APPROVED!! EAD APPROVED TOO...
  • August 6, 2007 EAD card and Welcome Letter received!
  • August 13, 2007 GREEN CARD received!!! 375 days since mailing the I-129F!

    Remove Conditions:

  • May 1, 2009 first day to file
  • May 9, 2009 mailed I-751 to USCIS CS

Good Luck, I just mailed mine out today too, but not overnight, just priority mail certified with return reciept (I hope I did that okay, I forgot which way people kept suggesting on here, whoops). So you'll probably beat me there by a few days! :)

Good Luck, I just mailed mine out today too, but not overnight, just priority mail certified with return reciept (I hope I did that okay, I forgot which way people kept suggesting on here, whoops). So you'll probably beat me there by a few days! :)

I mailed ours to Nebraska that way, got there fine on the 8th of August... So far, zip, nada, nothing but the return USPS mail receipt has come back... But hey, it was something! :dance:

7-27-06 MY FIANCEE GOES TO CDJ BUT GOT THERE TO LATE

7-28-06 CDJ CLOSED

7-30-06 MY FIANCEE GOES BACK TO GET AN OPEN APPT. PASS UNTIL THE 2ND OF AUG.

8-02-06 MY FIANCEE FILES I601 WAIVER AND FINGERPRINTS

HE WAS TOLD BY THE OFFICER WE HAD A PRETTY GOOD CHANCE OF AN APPROVAL AND THAT IT WOULDN'T TAKE LONG 3-6 MONTHS YEAH RIGHT!!!

Erm? Neither the OP, or me the 'I just sent mine too' are going to Vermont, we're both Nebraska (and then California).

Hopefully neither of us end up wondering if it would have been worthwhile moving to Virginia to expedite our K-1 processing :unsure:
