Hello! I'd like to know your opinion about the proof we gathered for our petition. My fiance wants to send it via USPS on Tuesday. Do you think we'll be ok with... this:

- proof of citizenship: copy of the naturalization certificate; copy of ALL pages of the US passport

- cover letter

- I-129F & I-129F attachment, describing how we met within the past two years, both signed and dated

- G-325A + passport style photo(petitioner & beneficiary), both signed, dated

- intent to marry letters(petitioner, beneficiary), signed, dated

- proof of having met in person: boarding passes, passport stamps, itineraries, photos(26), train tickets, receipts from Romania, engagement ring receipt;

- proof of ongoing relationship: emails(about 10), phone bills, skype video calls printscreens;

I hope we didn't miss a thing.

I would really appreciate your time to read this and I'd love if you could help me see something I'm missing,... if I'm missing something. :P

Good luck to you all! Good luck to us.

P.S.: We've seen each other 4 times in the past two years, the evidence shows that. Especially the itineraries and the passport stamps. The last 3 trips to Romania are shown by the boarding passes and receipts though, we kept them, thank God. :P This should be enough... IMO... (Sorry, I couldn't edit the previous post. :innocent: )

Don't forget the check for $455 made out to the US Department of Homeland Security! Other than that, your package sounds pretty all-inclusive. You have tons of relationship evidence and proof of meeting within the past 2 years. Probably more than you need (although I don't know the specifics of the consulate in Romania) but at least for this stage of the process you should be good!

Good luck with the rest of your journey and congrats on sending you package! (when you do) :star:

Oh, yes, right! The check!

My fiance completed these days a check for $455 to the US DHS. I should have included it on the list. Thank you! :innocent:

And as for the Consulate, Romania is not a high fraud country, but I thought more evidence for the petition won't hurt. :P

Thanks for your best wishes! Have a quick NOA2 and a smooth interview!

Hello!

Your packet & evidence sound great, but do not forget the check! Plus, the instructions do say to spell it out (do not write US DHS), but rather write United States Department of Homeland Security or US Department of Homeland Security. Also, you might want to complete the form (do not remember the form number) so that you can receive an e-mail confirmation from DHS when your petition is received.

Best of luck!

August 23, 2010 - I-129 F package sent via USPS priority mail with delivery confirmation.

August 30, 2010 - Per Department of Homeland Security (DHS) e-mail, petition received and routed to California Service Center for processing. Check cashed. I-797C Notice of Action by mail (NOA 1) - Received date 08/25/2010. Notice date 08/27/2010.

After 150 days of imposed anxious patience...

January 24, 2011 - Per USCIS website, petition approved and notice mailed.

January 31, 2011 - Approval receipt notice (NOA 2) received by mail. Called NVC, given Santo Domingo case number, and informed that petition was sent same day to consulate.

Called Visa Specialist at the Department of State every day for a case update. Informed of interview date on February, 16 2011. Informed that packet was mailed to fiance on February, 15 2011.

February 21, 2011 - Fiance has not yet received packet. Called 1-877-804-5402 (Visa Information Center of the United States Embassy) to request a duplicate packet in person pick-up at the US consulate in Santo Domingo. Packet can be picked-up by fiance on 02/28.

March 1, 2011 - Medical exam completed at Consultorios de Visa in Santo Domingo.

March 9, 2011 at 6 AM - Interview, approved!

March 18, 2011 - POE together. JFK and O'Hare airports. Legal wedding: May 16, 2011.

Go confidently in the direction of your dreams. Live the life you have imagined.

Oh yes, the G-1145, definitely include that one. It's optional but if you fill it out it automatically signs you up for email/text notification. I hadn't heard about it when I sent mine in so everyone else was getting their case #'s by text while I had to wait for my hard copy!

Also thanks for your wishes for a speedy NOA2, Sunshine! I'm not getting my hopes up for anything amazingly fast but I'm hoping for the beginning of Nov. Earlier would be great of course but I'm trying to be realistic. :) Let us know when you officially send out your package, and make sure you update your timeline when you do as well!

Oh, thank you, Aztec&Taino! I think I know what are you talking about, the form that can be found on the same page with Petition for Alien Fiancé(e) on the USCIS website. I'll take a look and tell me fiance about it. Thank you for your suggestion!

Yes, I think my fiance wrote US Department of Homeland Security, I'm going to ask him to make sure. "US DHS" was just my abbreviation here, on the forum. :P

You, people, have been a real help here on VJ. Thank you so much for your time!

Oh, great, we'll do that.

Yup, I'm thinking the same way too. I would like to be approved in late November. I would love to spend Christmas with my honey. But I'm not sure things will move that fast. I'm not aiming that high, but if it happens, then it's a blessing from God. (L) Other than that, I'm trying to remain realistic too.

I'll let you know when we're sending our petition to Texas. Anyway, it will be on Sept. 7th, on Tuesday. But I'll update my signature timeline and I'll also add a real timeline. :)

Good luck and hugs!

It probably is not necessary to include all passport pages, just the ones with the entry/exit stamps. However, if you want to include all, it won't be a problem.

Oh, I'm kind of blushing now. Thank you all for your time to read and help. :) Now I'm much more confident that everything is ok! I can't wait, tomorrow's the day.

Amyyduck, my fiance and I looked again through our paperwork last night, everything seems to be in order. The check of $455 he made is to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. So this issue is solved too. The form you told me about, G-1145, is completed as well and attached in front of the I-129F.

All he needs to do now is send the petition, so I'm nervous, waiting for tomorrow to come.

Thank you, my friends!
