We are approved!! I never got my OA2 (yet), but have been consistently calling the NVC and punching in my CIS receipt number ever since those with NOA1s right around the same time as mine started showing up as approved. Yesterday, to my surprise, they had my case! I was able to get the new NVC case number, give an operator our emails, confirm with the operator that the DS-3032 is ready, and even get the IIN number (all following recommendations from the LingChe shortcut)! I am guessing my NOA2 was around 12/14, as the NVC shows they received the approval on 12/21. If anyone is out there that has not yet received an approval and they have an NOA1 in September, I strongly suggest giving the NVC a call to see if your case has been approved, just no/slow NOA2 generated.

USCIS

2010-09-07 I-130 Sent

2010-09-14 I-130 NOA1 received

2010-12-17 I-130 NOA2 (no email notification, no change in status on the USCIS website, hardcopy did not come in mail until 2011)

NVC

2010-12-21 NVC Received (was calling NVC every day, found out from them about approval over a week before NOA2 rec'd in mail)

2010-12-24 email address given to NVC, IIN number received from NVC operator

2010-12-24 I-864 AOS bill available - paid immediately

2010-12-24 DS-3032 emailed

2010-12-27 I-864 AOS bill showing as "paid", printed coversheet, mailed I-864 packet overnite

2010-12-27 Mailed "backup" DS-3032 overnite

2010-12-30 I-864 AOS delivered to NVC

2011-01-03 NOA2 finally received in mail...thanks

2011-01-03 DS-3032 has been accepted, per the automated message

2011-01-03 DS-230 IV bill available - paid immediately

2011-01-06 Rec'd last of the supporting DS-230 docs from beneficiary

2011-01-06 DS-230 IV bill showing as "paid", printed coversheet, mailed DS-230 packet overnite

2011-01-07 DS-230 packet delivered to NVC

2011-01-11 AVR indicates DS-230 was received, waiting on AOS still, however, confirmed with operator they have both pieces

2011-01-28 Website changed to SIF right after midnight eastern time...hmmm

2011-01-28 Case closed per AVR!!

Congratulations...can you please put the link of the website you were using to check your status from NVC? Thnaks.

It isn't a website. You have to call the number. It is 603-334-0700. You can use the automated service to see if your case has made it to the NVC, so you could even call today if you wanted. Select the "status of immigrant visa" option, then it will tell you that you need either your CIS # or your NVC case #. Your CIS # is the same number you got on your NOA1 and the same number used on the USCIS website to check your I-130 status. For instance, my number starts with "WAC....". It is my understanding that all the California Service Center applications start with WAC. Anyway, you enter this information when prompted, then the system will do one of two things...either it will tell you that the NVC has no record of your case, which means that your I-130 has not yet been approved and sent to them, OR if you are lucky, it will tell you that your case is there, it will also then tell you what date the NVC received it, and your new NVC case number. The rest of the info, such as your IIN, you will need to get from an actual operator during business hours IF your case is at the NVC. If you haven't already checked out the Ling Che NVC shortcut, I strongly recommend. It is under the "Wikis" link at the top of all VJ pages, then go to "NVC" then at the bottom of the NVC wiki, you will see a link to the Ling Che shortcut....good luck!

Thanks! I cant believe this is happened! I feel sorry for everyone but im sure this is hope for all... do not even bother with the touches I was slightly depressed to see others touched here and there and honestly quite jealous of raffy getting groped but still like you I see no update or anything online.

Merry Xmas to everybody! :dance::dancing:

I wish all of you a very speedy process!!

(my case on this forum it's one of the few that got wrongly merged, my stuff went by pretty quick cause my case its different from most of you guys -already in the USA, married an US citizen-)

To all of you that are going thru this crappy processes: the best advice I got from a friend of mine, I'm gonna pass it on to you guys: be patient and DONT COUNT the days, DONT check the site everyday and you will see that your frustrations will dissapear... you'll start to feel more stress free and happier...

When I was told this, I was like: yeah right... easy for you to say it cause you're already done with it... BUT then, I try my best to do as I was told and it actually made my life a lot easier and better...

You are already strapped in this rollercoaster... just breath and enjoy the ride... it will come to an end on its own "uncontrolled" time... :)

Feliz navidad/merry xmas/ happy Hanukkah!!

Wish you ALL the best!! dont forget to :time:

Congrats to all the NOA2 approvals. We are still waiting...and collecting documents for NVC process meanwhile!

Question about police certificate???

According to Ling Che shortcut:

Police Certificate section ·

NOTE1: Police Certificate is required for any place in their country of citizenship; the beneficiary has lived longer than six (6) months, after age of 16.

· NOTE2: Police Certificate is required for any places which beneficiary has lived longer than twelve (12) months in any other country other than country of citizenship, after age of 16.

· PCC can take a long time to receive, so request it earlier rather than later (for some countries, such as India, your PCC may need to be within 6 months, for most within 1 year)

MY WIFE IS A CANADIAN CITIZEN AND LIVED IN CANADA FOR THE LAST 8 YRS. PRIOR TO THAT SHE LIVED IN 2 OTHER COUNTRIES FOR MORE THAN 12 MONTHS EACH SINCE THE AGE OF 16.

DO WE HAVE TO GET POLICE CERTIFICATE FROM EACH OF THESE COUNTRIES??? OR JUST POLICE CERTIFICATE FROM CANADA???

You have to get from both countries she lived in plus Canada. If they are in another language they have to be translated by certified translator into English. For example, Hazel lived in Taiwan for 4 years so we had to get police clearence from both Philippines and Taiwan. I don't think you need them for NVC , she needs to have them at the interview at the US Embassy. Unless they changed it?
