A Number Question?

I am filling out the I-485 with my wife sitting next to me. We are adjusting from K1 w/ marriage within 90 days.

I am looking at the NOA2 from the I-129 petition. The A number is listed as Axxx xxx xx7. Then, I look at her passport and I-94, they both say Axxx xxx xx1 (same exact number, except the last digit is different). Now, I am confused. Which number is her REAL A number?

Anyone know?

I would say it's more likely to be the one on the NOA2, since that one is generated first. It is a question I would consider calling and asking someone. The package does require photocopying all of those documents and sending them in, hopefully the person who accepts them will notice and correct any discrepancies. Is it possible the typeface on one of the documents makes the 7 seem like a 1? or vice versa?

The correct A-number is what is on the NOA2 of the I-129F petition...the officer at the POE may have written it incorrectly on her I-94 form. You may want to include a copy of your NOA2 (highlight the A-number) and say in your cover letter that her A-number on the I-94 was written in error.
