Will there an email notification regarding the interview date? Or should we wait for the packet 4 to arrive via postal mail? Is there a way to know if the interview has been scheduled?

Mine came by snail mail exclusively, though I have heard of others who got theirs by e-mail. If you e-mail the consulate, they might be able to tell you the date if they have scheduled it already.

Thanks! Will calling DOS helps?

I only know the basics of how CR1/IR1 visas work, so I am not quite sure where DOS comes into play with you guys. I would try the consulate first probably, but maybe someone else on here who has gone though the spousal visa process will be able to assist you better.

Hallo :-)
