I am wondering why everyone here is focusing on just the adultery part of why she has been condemned to death. She was convicted of murder, manslaughter and adultery.

Now I think stoning is pretty barbaric in my views but it is the punishment the governments penalty for certain crimes. A government that by the way that the people fought a brutal repressive one from before to enact and so they want this government and the laws that come with it. To make it simple, don't do the crime if you can't do the time.

I understand your frustration in heinous crimes but death penalty and stoning is still barbaric think of how many people charged with such crimes are being found innocent years later due to DNA, confessions etc.

I thought her husband was already dead? Is it still "adultery" if you're widowed?

She was having an affair with two other men and even conspired with one of them to kill her husband and that is why she was sentenced to death. She had been lashed 99 times for adultery already but at the trial of the man that killed her husband it was brought out that she conspired with him to have him killed. She was then brought to trial and sentenced to death.

While in prison a newspaper in Britain published a picture of what they said was her and she was sentenced to be lashed again for the picture but that was never carried out after it was shown to be of another woman and not her.

I am not frustrated at all. If I was in Iran for any reason I would definitely think twice before I would commit adultery as I would hate to be stoned to death.

Why haven't we bombed these idiots back to the stone age where they belong?

You're taking this a might personally, aren't you. Perhaps you should learn to take yourself a little less seriously. Then we wouldnt be constantly running into your ego in every thread ;)

Your theme song?

Anyone who condones the Stoning of another person for what ever reason deserves to have a family memeber, close friend or oneself put to the treatment.

"Let he who is without sin cast the first stone"

But again if you do not believe in Christ then it means nothing to you.

It isn't about condoning. It is about believing in something that was legislated from our Creator. That's what is known as faith. Do you deny that God ordered stoning as a punishment in the Old Testament? As a believer in the bible you have to concur that certain punishments were decreed by God for the people on earth OR you will try to negate it in some way and say that things have changed!

Regardless I always find it mystifying that some Christians can be the first to speak as if Islam is the most barbaric belief system in the world yet conveniently ignore the very texts that are contained in the scripture that they profess to believe in! What to do...What to do?

Jesus said , "Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill."

So I am guessing that he didn't have a problem with the law as was written before he came with his message.

I do believe in Jesus as a Prophet and Messenger of God.

I just don't believe that he was God in human form.

If a woman or man has ever been married then sex outside of marriage is considered adultery.

If the woman or man has never been married then it is considered fornication.

I didnt know that she had been sentenced for murder also.

Most don't know she had. Her kids that are trying very hard to get her freed leave this part out. She already had her sentence for adultery completed by being lashed 99 times. In another trial where she had been convicted by death it was for murder, manslaughter and adultery. Why they convicted her a second time for adultery was beyond me before I read that she had been unfaithful with two different men.

Now as for the bible and Jesus. He did say to follow the laws but he also intervened and asked the people that he without sin cast the first stone. He then led away the condemned woman.

OK then you must understand as he did not disagree with the sins but taught to show love, compasion and forgiveness. So if you believe him to be the (quoting you) " Prophet and Messenger of God" then you deny the teeachings og Allah-God.

Christians further believe that the path to salvation is through him that his death on the cross prvided the way for us as we beliebve unto him as the Son of God.

If a woman or man has ever been married then sex outside of marriage is considered adultery.

If the woman or man has never been married then it is considered fornication.

Your correct in the differences above.

Most don't know she had. Her kids that are trying very hard to get her freed leave this part out. She already had her sentence for adultery completed by being lashed 99 times.

I state again those beilieving in Stoning need to have a close family memeber subjected to the that death so they could in turn truly know the sorrow it leads to.

I also agree that this is argument to which shows Islam is not a compassionate peaceful Religeon.

As Christainity and Juddiasm have done they have evolved ..Islam has not.
