Guys,

Marcel and I just got the notice that we were approved for our 129F! We are celebrating over Skype with a beer and Wine cooler! lol YIPPEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was shaking after I received the text to check our status online. God was I relieved. lol Now on to the next phase.......

RFE - 3/17/11 (the RFE was a bogus stall tactic)

RFE - 5/12/11 (another bogus, I told them I sent what they requested twice and threatened to call a state representative)

NOA 2 - 5/17/11 (they suddenly found the stuff they said they didn't have!)

Consulate received - 5/27/11

Packet 3 sent - 7/13/11

Thank you guys we are so thrilled. I want to thank all of you that had helped us along the way so far. When I was going crazy you kept me in line and were reassuring. Also, thank you for answering all of my questions, but I'm sure I will have plenty more. =)

Make sure he is well-prepared for the interview. USCIS is the long part of the journey. The Consulate is the hard part. Best wishes!

Yes I agree. I am ahead of the ballgame and have all the paperwork together for him and will be bringing it over with me. I will be emailing him the initial form he must send to the Embassy so the know he is ready to be interviewed and that can be scheduled. I have been quizzing Marcel to be sure he knows the answers to questions I think they may ask etc...I'm going over everything again and again and again...lol

Well Congratulations girl!!! You got the petition approved. I know the feeling. In the next 2-3 weeks, contact Department of State and email the Lagos Consulate to find out when your fiancee will be interviewing. Your up against a very very tough consulate. TOUGH. Gather as much evidence of a bonafide relationship. I wish you nothing but the best. Take a peak at the Nigeria portals and go over the interview experiences (almost like the do's and the don'ts) I hope that was helpful. All the Best and Goodluck with the interview. With prayer you should be fine.
