Chest X-Ray?

So, what do I do with this gigantic chest x-ray? Is it for another part of this whack journey?

you need to bring that with you on your POE..good thing here in the philippines..xrays are already in cd.

Nothing, they dont need it at POE or anything, at montreal I was told give it to your new doctor if you want or throw it away. I heard someone was going to make some art work or something out of theirs! My doctor at the clinic here doesnt even want the xray so its just sitting in a pile of stuff here at our house lol.

No longer needed. CBP are not doctors, they cannot read the x-ray even if they wanted to. They'll read the report in your brown envelope and that's about all they'll do

I love these questions! I remember reading about this before I moved and such, so I knew I didn't need it after the interview.

One of my favourite suggestions I read what to do with it after....

Use it as a place mat.

However, I do have mine....somewhere I think it may be on my closet shelf.

The Vancouver medical clinic told me to take it to the consulate. The consulate didn't look at it, but told me to have it out at the PoE. The PoE didn't look at it. I don't think I took it to the CS for the I-693, but I might have. Now it's sitting on my closet shelf, where it quietly passed into official expiration and irrelevancy this past April.

You don't need it for POE or anything like that (although some immigrants coming from countries where tuberculosis is prevalent do sometimes seem to be asked for them, but Canadians aren't). Pack it in the bottom of your largest suitcase .

When I got my new family physician I gave them copies of my medical records from my doctor in Canada (I had requested copies to bring with me) and I provided them with the chest x-ray so they had it available as a baseline for future comparison. They did give it back to me after they had their own done at my first physical and there were no differences.

One thing you will find in the US - you often do receive hard copies or originals of things like MRIs and X-rays. You pay for them so you are considered to 'own' them unless otherwise stipulated by your health care provider or the hospital - so it is possible you could collect a fair number of large images. I have mine stored in a large flat envelope filed behind one of the bookshelves in the office (the only place large enough to store it).

So, bring it with you and use it as a baseline for future medical reference.
