Hey VJs'

How depressing is it to hear that your case is completed but no interview scheduled as yet? By the way I am a CR-1. I am depressed. Good news, Bad news. That is depressing. Anyone has similar experiences? Please let me know.

Thanks.

Hey mandyt! It would be easier for us to answer questions for you if you would plz fill in your timeline! When was your case completed? Go look at your country's portal page. Dont worry! When I looked, it seems that there is not a long wait time. Maybe a month to 2 months after case complete. NVC schedules all month long. Not just the 2nd week like they tell everyone. Just hang in there and stay positive. Jamaica looks like it goes pretty fast. Be thankful for this, I have seen others on here, waiting a year just for interview dates. I just recently got my interview date. My case complete was 4 months ago, and we have an October interview. So just stay positive. I will be saying a few prayers for ya too! :star::yes:

I am sorry, the case was completed on August 31, 2010. Thanks for the prayers. You can never get enough of that. By the way, how do you read a country's portal. I am clueless.

Thanks.

I think I must be the biggest idiot on the planet. I kept posting that I am a CR-1. I do not think I know what I amtalking about. My father, a US Citizen (not by birth) filed for me. What category of Visa is this?

If you laugh I understand.

Thanks.

I think Kingston schedules interviews the 2nd week of each month for the following month. So you should have an October interview. I think anyways. This may have changed since we went through this over a year ago. Good luck! Come join us on the yardie board. Click on your flag and then click on the link that says yardie party, come as you are.

When we were in NVC stage last year we were told that they schedule interview during the first full week of the month (which would be next week). Sure enough, middle of October we have our interview schedule for November!

I would say call NVC next week Thursday or Friday (either you or your father can call), if they have your interview date already then they will tell you.

Darnell,

The case was completed on August 31, 2010. As I have told you I made an error by stating that I am CR-1 when I wasn't sure what I was. You have pointed out that I am in the category "Bringing Relatives of US Citizen to America". A VJyer was nice enough to point out that I was CR-2, still immediate relative, but not spouse.

How then do I view the country's portal to see how busy they are at the Kingston Embassy and make sense of it, because I went on the site and I am clueless. Is there a process step by step to follow.

Your advice is appreciated. Thanks.
