i got the approval for I-130 and I129F at the same (on Aug 1/06)

however, i only got the case number for the I-129F on aug 10/06

do you think is there any problem about the I-130 (cuz i haven't received any nvc letter yet?)

i just so worry about it

Copied from the timesaver thread in the NVC forum. You can use these steps to find out if NVC has received and assigned a case number yet for the I-130

NVC Automated Voice Response Service

So your I-130 petition has been approved and forwarded to NVC

Now you are wanting to know if it has been received and a case number assigned

You can use your CIS (NOA) receipt number from your approval to find out.

On calling the NVC automated voice response number (603) 334-0700 you will.... press 1 for English press 2 for Spanish

press 1 for information about your immigrant visa

It will then ask you if you know your CIS receipt number.....press 1

(Once you have a case number you can use this.....press 2)

You then follow the instructions to key in your number.

If will then tell you if NVC has received the petition, and assigned a number.

This automated service is available 24/7.

Once you have your case number you can call them at any time to hear any updates on your case, using either the NVC case number or your CIS (NOA) receipt number.

No, I don't thnk there's a problem. Not based on this observation.

The I-129f petition is a 'pass through', they do 'real work' based on the I-130 petition.

We got approved on aug 3rd and still no case numbers yet...received the noa#2 stating the cases had been forwarded to NVC on aug. 3rd....to date (and i call everyday) they still haven't been recieved or rather entered into the nvc system. There are several people here in the same boat....just be a bit patient (hahahaha) call the automated system as often as you want to see if the petition has been received.
