I have benefited a lot in getting reply to problems I encounter. First thanks to all! I will do my best to help anyone. Afriend of mine who filled for his wife a petition and got accepted his case on April 9, 2010. As i check his status online. But it has been almost five full months. Should he get alerted by this long delay? If so whome should he inquire? USCIS is not like NVC, as my knowledge to make inquiries easily. He lives in seattle area, if it helps

Nov 25 2009 - While on vacation in Ukraine met my fiancee

Feb 20 2010 - Spent 8 amazing days in Caribbeans with my fiancee

April 16 2010 - Traveled to Ukraine

April 22 2010 - Returned to US

April 27 2010 - K1 filed

April 29 2010 - NOA 1

May 4 2010 - Touch

June 30 2010 - Touch

June 30 2010 - NOA 2!!!

July 06 2010 - NOA 2 Hard copy received

July 11 2010 - NVC still still didn't receive approved petition from USCIS. Sent inquiry via email to NVC regarding my case

July 13 2010 - USCIS claims that they sent my petition on July 6th to NVC. Sent inquiry to USCIS.

July 21 2010 - USCIS sent email saying approved petition was lost in transit, asking to submit duplicate copy in order to reconstruct my case

July 29 2010 - Duplicate copy sent to Vermont Service Center.

August 10 2010 - USCIS sent email. Original petition found

August 10 2010 - second NOA 2 issued.

August 12 2010 - NVC received petition

August 13 2010 - NVC forwarded the case to Kiev embassy !!!

September 6 2010 - Medical Exam

September 27 2010 - INTERVIEW!!!

September 27 2010 - Visa Approved!!!

October 5 2010 - Arrived to US!!!

I have the same timeline.......still waiting........

I-130 (IR-1) TIMELINE [MUMBAI CONSULATE]
07-02-2020 - I-130 SENT
06-01-2021 - APPROVED

NVC
06-06-2021 - Recevied NVC case no. - case entered into nvc's system

06-08-2021 - AOS fee
06-08-2021 - IV fee
07-05-2021 - IV & AOS documents submitted online

07-19-2021 - received message from NVC about case can not be processed unless all civil documents are submitted (was missing police clearance)

08-12-2021 - submitted police clearance certificate - which was last document submitted to NVC

11-05-2021 - Case completed at NVC - DQ

03-31-2022 - Interview letter received

04-28-2022 - Interview date at mumbai embassy

same time line as well and waiting. Apparently USCIS has an influx and backlog of applications. Everyone is waiting. Patience is key.

10/10/09: Married in Hamilton, Ontario :)

04/01/2010 : I-130 Sent

04/16/10 : NOA1 Issued (Hard Copy)

09/02/2010: File Touched Fingers Crossed

09/24/2010: NOA2 Approval!!!

CSC and VSC (at uscis website) show 5 months for processing, currently.

If your friend wants to call USCIS, at this point, to inquire, suggest he get an ISO - see http://www.dhs.gov/xabout/structure/gc_1221837986181.shtm#5

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

When you get past 5 months completely you have the option to contact your Senators or Congressperson. They can do a congressional inquiry regarding your case and they should be able to get a response or call to action from the Service Center.

This is the way it *should* work - but these days a lot of the congress people themselves know about the slowdown so they are not so keen on getting involved or doing inquiries until you hit a certain amount of months in the waiting queue.

Still it is an option and it should not hurt to have them inquire, they will know about your case if you ever need them in the future. I used my Senator for an answer to question and was surprised - I received an answer that was copied and pasted answer from the NVC website and then below that a separate line which directly answered my question.

CR-1 Visa Was Approved :-)

Entry Date to USA: 2/3/2011

12-10-2012 - Sent off I-751 packet visa USPS

I751 Was approved - 10 Year GC was granted

N-400 Progress

4/10/2014: Package Mailed
4/11/2014: Package Received
4/14/2014: Notice Date

Finally, I got the approval on September 16, 2010. And asked to wait for their messegem, what would be NVC stage. SO MY ADVICE TOOK ME SIX MONTHS IN USCIS, just be paitent and pray. GOOD LUCK FOR ALL
