I'm a kiwi who has been living in Australia for the last 7 years and am in the final stages of my K1 visa application.

Can anyone please tell me roughly how long it takes for the Auckland US Consulate to obtain a New Zealand Police check for their file? I had the Ministry of Justice one but Sydney refused to accept it and have sent a letter off to New Zealand Police via the Auckland Consulate. Just wondering roughly how much longer I'll be waiting as my visa issuance is on hold pending this check.

Thanks in advance for any info you can provide.

Carebear, I replied in the NZ thread that I thought it took only a couple of weeks for the consulate to process mine. I highly recommend going to the auckland consulate website to get their email address and emailing them. I've found them to be very helpful and quick to reply.

Married: 08/05/2007

I-130 sent CSC: 08/09/2007

NOA 1: 09/05/2007

NOA 2: 02/19/2008

NVC case number assigned: 03/04/2008

Case complete at NVC: 05/12/2008

Case sent to Consulate: 05/28/2008

Consulate received: 06/03/2008

Interview & Approval: 07/07/2008

Passport with Visa received: 07/11/2008

POE San Francisco: 09/15/2008
