I called them today. They opened a Service Request to send me an appointment letter. But the rep also said some offices are busy so there may not be any appointments available. That's why the letter may not have been sent. She also said that they will respond to the Service Request within 30 days !! I knew it would be useless to call.

at least they did SOMETHING. i called and she basically told me that I JUST HAVE TO WAIT and that there is nothing she can do. What totally irritated me was the SLOW MONOTONE DRAWL.. ughrrgh!!!! I kept asking if she can at least put in a request or SOMETHING because we will be going out of the country next week on vacation.. but alas, she has no idea on what to do.. she's reading a script, of course. the least she could have done was liven up her tone or something. make it sound like she's talking normally and not reading. just venting.

if we ever get that biometrics letter, i'm afraid we won't know about it until we get back. wonderful. now i'm mad.

In case anyone else is doing it in SF:

Very nice service in SF, especially if you wear your baby! Parking garages charge $14 (no hourly) around there. I found street parking at 7.50 AM. I was 7th in line for 8 AM appointment. Seen at 8.35, done at 8.50 AM.

CSC is moving much faster for my I-797 than for my K-1!

PS- bring ALL possible IDs even though the letter uses "OR." I was off the hook because of baby, but I only had my conditional GC. Should have had other forms of legal ID.

So she took my request and gave me the reference no. and told me that she will be sending this info to the service center and I will hear from them within 30 days if not then told me to call back again after one month.

Is there anything I can do to have a earlier biometrics.

Hello I called USCIS today talked with a lady and told her that its been a month that I have not received the letter for biometrics. So she took my request and gave me the reference no. and told me that she will be sending this info to the service center and I will hear from them within 30 days if not then told me to call back again after one month.

Is there anything I can do to have a earlier biometrics.

WE GOT THE FREAKIN APPOINTMENT LETTER TODAY!!!!! oh my gosh!!!! but of course it is on the day when we are out of the country, like i feared. BUT WE GOT IT!!! He's scheduled for 11/04/10 at 02:00 PM. Now I am scrambling to find an ASC that will take early walk-ins. any ideas any one?
