Dentist /Dental Records before Medical Exam?

My fiancee read on another forum that Dental records and other dental information are necessary for the medical examination. I was wondering if there is any truth to that?

For example, she says that if there was a cavity or a hole in your tooth that it would have to be filled up before going to the medical exam? Is that true?

Any dental information regarding medical exam before interview would be appreciated because I don't know what she's talking about.

Thanks

from what country are you from?

in my case the Physician just asked me to open my mouth and asked me if i have dentures or something..but other than..she didn't say anything..

i don't think that dental records are needed for US visa application..

They don't care about your cavities.

So true! If your fiancee has a few cavities, however, better to have them fixed in the Philippines. It's a lot, lot cheaper there.

In the PI, oral prophylaxis (cleaning) is less than $20 (here it's $120), permanent filling is less than $30 there (here it's $150) plus the dentists here won't touch your teeth unless you get x-rays which cost ($200).

I had bridge/crowns made here which cost me $1,976. I could have flown to the Philippines with that amount and have it made there for $400!

Your fiancée will forget all about her mouth when she finds out about the other places the doctors will be examining.

Sowweee...I couldn't resist. :P

Before she came to the U.S., Chinook had a tooth fixed in Pinas. The dentist did a great job...at a fraction of the price it would have cost here in the U.S.

Had mine just a week ago. Was just asked if there were permanent teeth that was taken out and if I had any false teeth already. That's it. No dental check up there so no need to worry. :innocent:

I definitely agree!!!..good & proper hygiene is very important...I had mine fixed few months before my med exam(coz it's really expensive when you have your teeth fixed in the US :bonk: )...they don't ask for dental records nor they will not let you pass your medical exam if you have cavities....they will just ask if you have complete set or false teeth(how many..) :D ....lol...stay healthy before your med exam and EAT before you go to St.Lukes!!...be blessed!!
