My daughter has an appointment too. Tried calling USCIS today but it's a federal holiday. Man, are we cutting it close.

Also, I don't have a driver's license, which is why my husband (he is the USC spouse, my daughter and I are the non-USC beneficiaries) has to be there...he is driving us to Jacksonville.

So it's been a week since my hubby's bio appointment and nothing from USCIS. There was a touch for the two days after the appointment in which I'm guessing they were updating the information. So more waiting involved.

You might have to try to call in tomorrow to see if you can get the appointment changed. Though it's not really required for both of you to go to the appointment. If he can drive there himself then he should be fine on his own. My guy went on his own to the appointment and said it was really simple. They just take your picture and prints then have you fill out a form with a basic physical description.

Man...I feel really impatient on this one. Already did the biometrics on the 1st of October, but haven't gotten any update from USCIS after that. I'm sure I'll hear something at the end of October or the beginning of November..but still...I just want to get this last part over with! (at least for the next 2,5 years ;) )

Just got an email that the status of the AOS is now on RFE. So now I have to wait for the letter in the mail to see what kind of evidence they want. I think it is about the affidavit of support, since I said I have a company in the Netherlands and will have continual income from that (same source as before the move here). I'll give an update as soon as I have the letter.

I am still waiting for my bio appointement...at that point I don't really care about RFE or appointement, I just would like to see them doing something with our files :clock:

Hello all,

On 7 Oct 10 I received a Text and an Email saying that my case (I485) was transfered to the CSC for processing.

On 14 Oct 10, I received a second text/email saying that my case (I485) "was transfered and is now being processed at a USCIS office"

I'm not sure what is going to happen next, I have not received my Biometrics appointment letter. I hope it comes soon. It is my uderstanding that most cases transfered to CSC don't undergo interviews, it is also my understanding that cases transfered to CSC do not move forward until the BIO are completed. Please feel free to share your experiences...

NOTE: Dallas CSC Biometrics appointments are so slow to come; the funny thing is, i usually drive by there and i always see their parking lot EMPTY...who knows..... :help:

Hi all I filed for my AOS end of August and got my NOA1 hard copy on Sept 10 so I am also a Sept filer!

On Oct 6 my case was transferred to CSC and I had my Biometrics app on Oct 14 since then my EAD and I-485 have had a touch the day after but now it's all gone quiet again...I was wondering how you know if you're getting a RFE does it say on the USCIS website when you check your case??

Good luck to everyone hope we hear something soon...really want to get working!!

Posted

Yeah, it says it on the website that they made a RFE. I also got a text-message and an email about that status update. Now I'm waiting on the actual letter to see what they want. RFE usually is negative, because you have to give more proof you know, on the other hand...I can also see it as a positive. If I can give them all the proof they are now requesting, then everything should be ok, right? ;)
