Right now I contact my Congressman, talk to the immigration specialist and they have all my info, she told me that they expedite the process like in a week, so I ask for my husband EAD to be expedite, so hopefully that will make them give me our biometric app... I'm praying on that! :) Good luck everybody!

Wow! That's good news. Let me know how things go.

Ham's biometrics appointment was set for 11 today. Still haven't heard from him about whether he's back or not. Ugh, I wish we had been able to get him a cell phone.

I don't even know when he left since I was in training all this morning. It sounds like it's supposed to be really quick. I don't get why he wouldn't have called me by now.

Biometrics letter arrived, at old address though. Will be attempting a walk-in later this week.

Managed to arrange to get the letter today and successfully did a biometrics walk-in; the ASC (Denver) manager let me do it once I told him I was trying to expedite work authorization.

To be honest though, they fly through the people there - I was only waiting 10-15 minutes for the backlog to clear.

I wish we could go earlier. :( Problem is, it's a 2.5 hour drive and I couldn't risk the chance of us being turned away. My husband has to get off work to drive us and it would really be a big bummer to do a walk in and have them say no. Hope the process itself is painless, I hear that ASC (Jacksonville, FL) is very busy.

Managed to arrange to get the letter today and successfully did a biometrics walk-in; the ASC (Denver) manager let me do it once I told him I was trying to expedite work authorization.

Hey guys...would appreciate your input.

I'm on my 37th week of pregnancy now, so our baby is up to term already...and my goodness, our biometrics appointment is on October 14th at 8:00 a.m. I think I will make it, but my husband is worried that I won't and I only have 2 days to try to get our appointment changed (by USPS Express mail)...tried calling them today but it's Columbus Day...any ideas aside from doing a walk-in (our ASC is in Jacksonville, FL and that is a 2.5 hour drive from here)?

So it's been a week since my hubby's bio appointment and nothing from USCIS. There was a touch for the two days after the appointment in which I'm guessing they were updating the information. So more waiting involved.

You might have to try to call in tomorrow to see if you can get the appointment changed. Though it's not really required for both of you to go to the appointment. If he can drive there himself then he should be fine on his own. My guy went on his own to the appointment and said it was really simple. They just take your picture and prints then have you fill out a form with a basic physical description.
