Sadly Dallas ASC is back up, there still people from July who hasnt got their biometrics app yet! :(

wohooo... congrats... hope your case is faster than mine! that stuck on the biometrics! :(

I haven't received my biometrics appointment letter either. I got my NOA1 3wks ago, now my husband starts to worry about my application. any advice what to do? I sent an email to Chicago Lockbox but they told me to call the USCIS hotline.

The entire process takes 4 months to complete, on the average...right now everyone here is still within the 4 month processing time, so we're all in "hurry-up-and-wait" mode...some cases take longer than others (depending on a number of factors)...and as I understand it, this is a high volume season for application processing.

If you still want to call USCIS, ask for an Immigration Service Officer to get some answers...but it's likely all you will get from them is "Just wait."

(P.S. You may want to update your timeline; there's no info about when you filed your AOS/EAD/AP)

Hi guys' I'm a sept. filer for AOS/EAD too... we sent our papers 09/09, received NOA1 on mail 09/24, and today 09/29 i received my biometric letter, but the appointment will be in 3 weeks. I have a friend from New York State that just got her G.C this month' which took 4 months, but she received her EAD after 3 months. I think the EAD usually comes first, coz if not you won't need it anymore once you have your g.c.

Goodluck to us... September filers..

If you you think you are getting your RN license within the next month and you have a job offer, you can request for your EAD to be expedited. Otherwise, you will have to wait.

ok thanks marriedtomrg... another question if you don't mind. the chicago lockbox told me that they are just a recipient and fee facility, they are not responsible on biometrics and interview and to call the USCIS for National Benefit Center, I thought after they recieved the application they forward it to Local USCIS facility for processing, is that right? does the Local Facility the same as the National Benefit Center?

Your local facility refers to the USCIS Application Service Center (ASC) nearest to where you live, or has jurisdiction over your area; they will conduct your biometrics. IF you require an interview, it will be conducted at the Local Facility/ASC.

The National Benefits Center is different, they will process part of your application (either the I-485 or the I-765). All AOS+EAD+AP applications go through them. If you don't require an interview, then usually your application completes processing at the California Service Center.

I'm glad I'm not the only one with a crazed hubby. Mine has gotten to the point of completely reorganizing my entire MP3 collection. I don't know what he's going to do once he's done with that and they still haven't given him an EAD.

Just went to the biometrics appointment today. Fingerprints and a picture, that's all. Oh and filling out a form with information that was also on my appointment letter..I guess they want everything in a lot of duplicates?

They need your biometrics before they can continue processing your application. And it's USCIS who will give you the schedule. Just hang in there, it will come.

Right now I contact my Congressman, talk to the immigration specialist and they have all my info, she told me that they expedite the process like in a week, so I ask for my husband EAD to be expedite, so hopefully that will make them give me our biometric app... I'm praying on that! :) Good luck everybody!
