Hi Guys.... I am starting over. I have sent AOS packet to Chicago in August for my stepson that came in on K2 9 month after my wife. It came back Rejected. and split in to two packets. I-131 they wanted separate check for 300.00 and the I485 930.00 and separate 80.00 for fingerprinting.

I just did AOS for my wife in March without a glitch.I ordered INFOPASS today and talked to them... useless. They have no idea why it came back.

They said the i485 was outdated, even though the date on it till 12/11.

I am starting all over.

did the fees change for I-485? now it says 1000.00 on USCIS site.

what a mess....

need ideas :-(

the I131 is a seperate fee, but on the uscis website the I485 is still the same $1,010,$930 + $80 for biometrics

August 29-2010 Package delivered signed by R.Mercado(delivered on a Sunday, that was weird)

The fee is $1,010 for adjusting applicants between 14 to 78 years old: $930 for the adjustment of status application + $80 for the biometrics fee.

Children under 14 pay different fees, depending if their application is filed at the same time as their adjusting parent or not:

$930 if they are not filing at the same time as their adjusting parent

$600 if they are filing at the same time as their adjusting parent

In either case, the $80 biometrics fee is waived.

If you want your stepson to get an SSN he will also need an EAD...that's another $340.

spent an hour with USCIS today... They do not understand why the petition was sent back.The check was for the 1010.00 If he gets the Permanent status, doesn't that qualify him for the SS number?. why are children different from F-129 recipients? 1010 took care of AED and AP all together.

This is confusing.

Ditto for me too at 4 PM yesterday. It took exactly one week from when they received it to when I received the notices. Should get the NOA hard copy in a week or two.

So excited! My hubby might be able to start working in two or three months!!! :D Just in time for Christmas. :D

There is a form called the G-1145, which should have been filled up and attached to your application.

When you get your NOA1, you can register at the USCIS website and sign up for updates that way.

How do I get emails from them? I forgot to put our emails on the application. Is it too late now?

We got an e-mail from USPS, our package was delivered at the Chicago lockbox yesterday at 1:45 p.m. :)

Now for the USCIS NOA1....

There is a form called the G-1145, which should have been filled up and attached to your application.

When you get your NOA1, you can register at the USCIS website and sign up for updates that way.
