my thoughts too - 4 years is a long time. and she needs to quit referring to him as her hubby as that could create problems later on before they are actually married.

Hello yes for 4 years a very long time already,,,, huh I cant imagine I able to handle this kind of situation LDR for about 4 years.... We used to called husband and wife even if we are still engaged.............I think nothing wrong about it as long as theres true love in it......

unless he is sending you a major amount of money monthly to stay home, GO TO WORK!

if he isn't sending you money, in my opinion, he is just using you to occupy his time... he is lonely. 4 years and can't make the trip to the RP? there is no excuse for his absence. i work full time and within a 15 month period made 5 trips to the RP.

Hello DeDixon Yes he is supporting me all the way... sending 2 or 3 times a month for my personal allowance, bills, foods and everything. Atlast by this year he will be coming over...,, He just fix some important papers before coming over.....I just want to exercise my self and to practice my professon while waiting for him but we really have a time conflict, I already quit my new job... So far nothing change and I am now happy for my decision...

Guys thanks for all the replies.......

you may do as you wish, but i'd suggest you not use those terms at the interview or the poe, as it can lead to real problems.

It sounds like a good job to me and you should take it. You haven't even met him yet and he is already that controlling? Imagine how bad he will be if you do meet, get married, and live together. I didn't ask my wife to quit working until she became pregnant because I want my kids to have their mother full time. After the kids are in school she is free to work during school hours if she wants to.

Hi VJers ,,how's your day?

I have something to share which for me makes me feel so lost..

I suppose to be happy right now because atlast I already have a JOB but sad to note my hubby not allow me to work,,, ohhhh mannnnn do I need to work guys or just follow what my hubby's decision? I am so lost right now.... GOD help....

If I ask my wife not to work, it'll go in one ear and out the other.

Ask your husband for his secret, I wanna know. For once, I'd like a decision to be mine and not "ours" (code for "hers") :)

After the kids are in school she is free to work during school hours if she wants to.

You set the rules and she listens? You are awesome, dude. Teach me!

 Just don't marry a bra burner and you won't have any problems setting rules. It also depends how you say things....you have to make them believe it is their idea too

....you have to make them believe it is their idea too

Maybe I can manipulate with the best of them. But the problem is, if she believes it's her idea then my supremacy as he who wields the ####### isn't clearly established.

Odd. I think you should work if you want. In our sitation, I stopped working years ago but not because my husband decided that. I wanted to stop and now I stay at home with our toddler. But once our son is in school my husband would be happy if I actually worked again haha because it means more $ coming in to spend and save. If I seriously said to him, I really want to get a job I think he would dance around the house. But as of now, I don't want to.
