OMG everyone I am so overjoyed I just received my visa express post, I didnt know what to say to the guy delivering it lol he said this is you barbara and I said oh gosh yes its me and its mine yay!!!!!!!! 2 weeks after interview and me emailing consulate Monday they got right on it and sent it out yesterday, so releived. Go home to Georgia Saturday hehe and delta even gave me a premium seat from La to Atlanta. how nice is that. get married 11th September, cant wait so good luck to all pending visa recipients dreams really do come true.

Will be watching you all and then my next leg is 485 hahahaha does not matter I will be with my new husband so the world is great.

Thankyou everyone for all your well wishes and I promise Kirstin I will have a wonderful wedding as I write this my fiance is at jewellery shop organising our rings yay!!! as we are running out of time to get them. Thankyou again everyone and best of luck to you all as well

Congratulations! How exciting :) I hope that soon enough my sweetie is able to come, too. How were you able to get a premium seat? Did you tell the airline you were flying to get married? It seems like such a nice (yet rare) thing for a private company to have such a kind gesture. Best wishes and remember that the journey is just beginning!

August 23, 2010 - I-129 F package sent via USPS priority mail with delivery confirmation.

August 30, 2010 - Per Department of Homeland Security (DHS) e-mail, petition received and routed to California Service Center for processing. Check cashed. I-797C Notice of Action by mail (NOA 1) - Received date 08/25/2010. Notice date 08/27/2010.

After 150 days of imposed anxious patience...

January 24, 2011 - Per USCIS website, petition approved and notice mailed.

January 31, 2011 - Approval receipt notice (NOA 2) received by mail. Called NVC, given Santo Domingo case number, and informed that petition was sent same day to consulate.

Called Visa Specialist at the Department of State every day for a case update. Informed of interview date on February, 16 2011. Informed that packet was mailed to fiance on February, 15 2011.

February 21, 2011 - Fiance has not yet received packet. Called 1-877-804-5402 (Visa Information Center of the United States Embassy) to request a duplicate packet in person pick-up at the US consulate in Santo Domingo. Packet can be picked-up by fiance on 02/28.

March 1, 2011 - Medical exam completed at Consultorios de Visa in Santo Domingo.

March 9, 2011 at 6 AM - Interview, approved!

March 18, 2011 - POE together. JFK and O'Hare airports. Legal wedding: May 16, 2011.

I think I got the premium seat as I spoke to the same lady from last week when I had to cancel my flight and I was so distressed and crying she was lovely to me and this time when I rang I did not think there was any seats left on LA to Atlanta bar 1 at the back of the plane and she said not to worry will give you a premium seat after all you have been through. So nice and go Delta lol Thankyou for all the kind words and I am sure you will be with your sweetie too it will happen have faith.
