Hello everyone,

Ok, well to state, I'm a US citizen and would like to petition for a visa for my husband to come to the states. I was told to fill out the I-130 petition at the consulate where he is at, however, Im in the states at the present time and would not be able to do that myself. The USCIS said that this form can be filed online through the embassy where he will be interviewed, however, I cannot find the link to do so. Im looking for the US embassy in Jerusalem. If anyone knows of the direct link to the application where I can fill it out electronically, please let me know. Also, I noted in the I-130 it asked for evidence of the marriage. I am able to provide a marriage certificate to the USCIS. However, heres the thing I got married about a month ago and lived with my husband for only a week before I had to leave back to the states to attend college. What kind of evidence or documents could I submit to help me with the I-130 process? Anything would surely help.

Thanks in advance.

hey ! welcome aboard !

is not any concept of 'filing online' with the I-130

also 'residence' plays a big factor here, as well.

if you reside in Jersulam Consular District - follow this guide - http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?autocom=custom&page=dcf

If you reside in USA, follow this guide - http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?autocom=custom&page=i130guide1

all forms can be DOWNLOADED to a computer, filled out on a computer with adobe acrobat reader or similar acrobat reading program, then are PRINTED OUT , and then SENT OFF (chicago lockbox) or DROPPED OFF (Jerusalem)

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

There was also a mention of AFFIDAVITS to be used as supporting documents in case I dont have the required documents they have listed. Would you know what should be included in these affidavits? Are there any restrictions as to who could write the affidavits on me and my husbands behalf?

Thanks

They should explain how you met, your courtship, specific memories, why you only lived together a short time and anything pertaining to your relationship. Anyone could write an affadavit for just makes sure they include their name DOB address phone number and their relationship to you. All affadavits should be notarized and your case is stronger when both sides of the family submit an affadavit that your relationship is real and not for immigration purposes. Pictures of your wedding ceremony, or with the two of you and family members help your case. Honestly any document your name and his name on it is considered a bonafide. They will also ask for documentation that you keep in touch with him while you are away, emails, letters with envelopes, call histories, wetern union transactions, entry exit stamps that you went to visit him....etc. Good Luck...I wish you the best.

If I could be anything, I would be a tear.
