K-1 Visa: I-693A and DS-3025

Hello:

I hope everyone has benefitted as much from this forum as I have! Great information and people.

My wife is now here and entered the U.S. via Cuidad Juarez.

My only question that I have is what did you send for the I-693A for the I-485 AOS packet? Did you go to a Civil Service doctor and have the forms filled out?

The thing that happened is I have my wife's forms, the DS-3025 and all that is on there is:

"Results = FIANCE"

and it is signed by a panel doctor but none of the boxes are checked or any of the vaccines were verified. My wife was told in Juarez that for the fiance K-1 Visa she would not need the vaccinations??? Anyways, I have been reading through the forum and have had conflicting opinions on this (send DS-3025, send I-693A, certain consulates are different, etc). I wanted to double check with people here and see how you went about filling out the I-693A.

In addition, what was the charge for this? Again I've heard a range from $25 all the way to $500.

I appreciate your time and hope all is well! :D

Best Regards and Good Luck!

Hello Thechuunt: Welcome and congratulations!!!

My only question that I have is what did you send for the I-693A for the I-485 AOS packet? Did you go to a Civil Service doctor and have the forms filled out?

You have to go to a Civil surgeon to fill the I-693A that is her "Vaccination Record". -She does NOT need the whole medical exam-

The thing that happened is I have my wife's forms, the DS-3025 and all that is on there is:

"Results = FIANCE" and it is signed by a panel doctor but none of the boxes are checked or any of the vaccines were verified. My wife was told in Juarez that for the fiance K-1 Visa she would not need the vaccinations??? yes, mexican fiance/fianceé are not required to have vaccinations for the medical exam. Now if she has her mexican vacc. records that will be helpful to get and fill the I-693A. Anyways, I have been reading through the forum and have had conflicting opinions on this (send DS-3025, send I-693A, certain consulates are different, etc). I did not have vacc. when my medical exam at Juarez, and when had to get the I-693A for the AOS, just took my mexican vaccination records and the doctor filled out the form!! it was only $50.00 -no blood tests!- Hope this helps, Good luck!

I appreciate your time and hope all is well! :D

Best Regards and Good Luck!

You will have to take DS-3025 to the civil dr in your town and they will decide if you wife need

any more vaccins or if all the requirments are met..

after that they will give u 693A in sealed envelope which you will have to send with your AOS pacakage.

My husband had to go thru the same procedure. He had to get 1 vaccine done, so they charged him

$150. Hope your wife don't have to get any done.

Make sure the 693A that the dr gives you is in sealed envelope and don't open it..send it as it is with ur I485 package

Hope this helps you

Yes this is very conflicting...

Does one really need to supply the medical records with the inital AOS or supply them at a later time? I just got off the phone with the USCIS and he told me that these medical document are not necessary while sending in your AOS but rather more important for the interview and or the USCIS will contact you later to view them. Is this right...?

I was under the impression that all these medical recrords need to be sent in with the AOS?
