Hi, I'm new in this forum, It will be highly appreciated if someone can answer my questions.

I entered USA with B1 VISA in Sep 2006, I applied for Asylum in 2007, and was denied in the interview at the end of 2007,

and I waited for the hearing before the Immigration Court that has been scheduled on Oct 22, 2009, but now is postponed to Aug 3, 2011.

I recently got married to US citizen. I have an attorney, but he hasn't been answering my calls and emails, so I don't know what I should do to adjust my status.

My question is:

1. DO I need to withdraw my Asylum case, and what form and whom should I contact?

2. Can my husband submit I-30 for me and at the same time I submit I 485 ?

3. Can I do this by myself without a lawyer?

4. What other forms that i need to submit?

Thank you so much

Id suggest getting a new lawyer, this really doesnt sound like something to mess around with.

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

I am a Citizen of the United States of America. 04/16/13

1. I don't think so, it has already been denied.

2. Yes. However, as your status currently is unclear (are you officially in removal proceedings?), it is consider a red flag to get married and try to AOS. Therefor, be prepared for a tough interview!

3. Technically yes, but yours is a complicated case- it would be worth retaining a proper attorney (definitely fire the current one!).
