Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

Very nice! I love Gskill ram, and those ones look like they are heatsinked too, which is awesome! I approve of your computer

Sounds like its going to be awesome! Putting it together shouldn't be that hard, stuff really only has one place to go and the instructions are usually fairly easy to follow. Nice thing about W7 too is that it installs fast too, so you could have the whole thing up and running in a couple hours!

I wanted to build my own computer when I got mine, however, as my wife so subtlely pointed out, I destroyed a GFX card and mobo in the past, fiddling around  In the end, I got an incredible deal on an alienware computer. Thus far, my only complaint is that the mofo weighs like 60 pounds, and I'm not a fan of windows 7 64 bit edition. The only reason I don't like the 64 bit edition is that I have run into compatability issues with some programs that I use.

I am glad however that I went with a 10K RPM HD. I went with a lower memory (only 500 GB) hard drive as it would have been expensive to get a 10K RPM raptor drive with 1 gb space. LoL, I did look at the solid state HD for about 30 seconds but the price made my head spin. I got the same GFX card as you did, and my mobo allows me to put another one in if I want. I only got 12 GB of ram, but have enough slots to put 24 in. I haven't had any issues with only 12 though. I am very happy with the liquid cooled system. I'm not yet brave enough to start fiddling with it and overclock, but as soon as I have enough money for another one, I most surely will

I just bought it to see how easy it would be to put together, always wanted to try. I prob wont upgrade it much.

Thats a lot of RAM, isnt that overkill?? On te forums i was one, they said over 8Gb wasnt really worth it unless ur doing heavy duty editing/video stuff (not games)

For my games NHL 2010, I'm sure this will more than suffice, lol Thanks for all the help

It's not overkill if you're pretty hardcore into games. Some Counterstrike or Team Fortress 2 matches can hold up to 64 people at once. If you don't have the ram and gfx card you're gonna lag a bit.

ETA: It's not that I need that much ram or gfx card to run any of the games, It's so that I can run them at the maximum settings and have zero lag.
