Hi,

In my Appointment Letter, it says: "The applicant must bring the correct size and number of photographs to the visa interview. They must measure 2"x2" on a white background."

It does not say how many. I was planning on taking probably 5 passport size photos. Please advise if you know how many photos do they ask for at the consulate? Also are these Regular Front face passport style photos or is this the one (immigration style) where you have to get it from the sides with one of the ears showing?

Thanks & Best Regards.

Most consulates will ask 2, but some will ask 4. So, 5 is good.

Side face showing was an old format. USCIS changed it long time back. Now all photo must be frontal view.

They will probably use one photograph for the Visa itself. Another photograph for the Green Card.

I think I remember there is a square shaped empty box on the DS230 - so maybe they attach it there as well.

Perhaps they use a few more for other internal documents.

Take about 6 or more if you cannot get confirmation from anyone else on how many to take.

Below are some guides on what photos to submit.
