I know this probably doesn't belong here, so please forgive me.

If anyone has flown recently with American Airlines from Canada to the USA, they should be able to answer this. How many carry on bags are you allowed? On one page it says I'm allowed one personal and one bag, and then on another page it says I'm allowed one bag. T_T

So if someone could shed the light, I'd be very appreciative. Thank you =)

My mom flew recently and she was charged 50$ for her bag... she was pretty pissed because she saw it was what you said on the website too. Whenever we fly we get free bag tho because military. So if you have one of thos see if they will give you free bag with your mil ID. I got it with my mil spouce ID.

Try to keep your carry on to a bag without wheels.

If you are on a small plane they make you check the wheeled ones, and they only allow the nonwheel ones on.

Don't ask me why, it's silly becuase they have that size checker right there when you are by security, yet they put all those below too.... /boggle.

Yes one bag and a --small-- purse.

I had a carry bag, my purse, and a small camera bag, and no one said anything about it.

The last time I flew with them was in March, but I brought a backpack onto the plane and they took my little carry on suitcase on wheels and they put a valet tag on it. I didn't have to check it, just dropped it off and picked it up right as I got on/off the plane.

So I quoted myself instead of editing my last post. I was ATTEMPTING to edit just to say that my trip before that one, they made me check my carry on bag. That's the only time they've made me do that, and I think it was only because of an incident in the States. It was around Christmas time and something happened on a plane heading to Detroit, from what I remember..

You should be able to take one piece of small luggage (like a backpack or a purse) onto the plane with you. If your other piece is small enough, they'll valet it.
