Anywho...they didn't arrest these ppl with no justification. Yes its the media, but still...they found SOMETHING substantial enough to make allt hese changes AND Make mothers drink the baby's milk to take it on a plane...

Is that not a stereotypical statement that everyone complains constantly about? What does "look like an Arab" mean? I have seen the photograph on your profile. I think you look like any other young woman. If you mean dressing in the traditional Middle Eastern style, I don't see that in your picture, and it appears to be taken in Algeria.

This is beside the point anyway, the topic was not you or the way you look, it was the fact that a group had somehow planned a mass attack on civilian aircraft by using bomb manufacturing materials hidden in baby formula, and that a mother was prepared to sacrifice her baby for "the cause", and they all claim to be Muslims.

It appears you are diverting the topic from the original post to complaints about profiling.

Everyone is searched before boarding , all mothers are made to drink baby formula not just the "ones that look Arab" (what ever that means).

I used quotes for the purpose of showing that I am aware myself that I do not look like an arab, but other people make the assumption that I am because of my style of dress (everything covered, including hair, only showing face, hands and feet).

Thanks for letting me know my picture was still up there, I never noticed. I requested they be taken down months ago. The picture was not taken in Algeria, and the photo was taken before I decided to change my style of dress.

It was never my intention to divert attention away from the subject at hand. Racism/profiling is a touchy subject and we who have been discriminated against feel terrible because of it.

See bolded word "claim"... that was my original point in the 1st post I made on this thread. I get quiet upset when people blame the entire group for the actions of a handfull of people who don't even follow the rules that are prescribed by the group.

Looks like an Arab to me. The question was 'what does it mean to look like an Arab',

and to most Americans that guy is the answer. Doesn't matter if the answer the wrong.
