Howdy friends,

I am a permanently 100% disabled Veteran and I receive income from VA Disability as well as Soc Sec Disability.

My question is: Do they accept both of these incomes for lawful in come on the I-134?

I know I am well over the poverty line, in fact by their guidelines I can handle 8 people. (There will be just me and my soon to be wife.)

Thanks for any answers you might provide me.

Sorry, I'm being facetious. That's probably the biggest font I've seen used on a post here. :P

Yes, VA disability is qualifying income. Social Security disability is also qualifying income IF it's SSDI and not SSI. SSDI is an earned benefit. SSI is not - it's federal welfare.

A couple of VJ members have had trouble convincing consular officers and USCIS that they were actually receiving VA disability payments, especially since the payments are generally not taxable and don't show up on their tax returns. Be sure you can provide solid evidence that you receive both payments.

12/29/2009 - Married in Oakland, CA!

08/18/2010 - AOS Interview - APPROVED!

05/01/2013 - Removal of Conditions - APPROVED!

Your good to go.My husband also is same shoes as yours.He is 100 % disable and received Soc Sec and VA Compensation.Our income allows us to be very comfortable. Good luck.
