This has been an odd week... am I the only one that feels that way? I've been waking up at weird hours but don't really feel all that sleepy. Seems like trying to keep a routine this week is just a waste of energy because nothing will stay in a row. I'm glad its Wednesday already but I don't feel like the week should be half gone yet. Maybe I've fallen into a parallel dimension or something... or the winds of change or just a blowin.

We're both feeling terribly restless. Last night Mohammed said he wishes he could just reach through the air and take the visa already. I feel the same way. Being so close to finally nabbing that golden ring yet not knowing when it will happen or if it will happen for sure has become almost unbearable. Probably why I'm not sleeping Blah.

Oh well, I need to get dressed for work. Hope everyone's day is off to a good start.

Well I couldn't post anything yesterday because my computer at work was being stupid. So here I am today! It's been a good morning so far. I actually got to wake-up at the same time as my husband. I made him take me to work. Last night we sat down and made second copies of all the stuff we are sending for his AOS. But I still didn't recieve my tax info. He wants to send it now so at least they know he is applying for AOS. He's been out of F-1 status for 2 weeks now and is scared Immigration is going to come busting in our house and take him away. I admit I am scared too. I go to sleep thinking about waking up and having guns pointed at me and my husband. Random people in my house who are uninvited. I just don't like it! So he wants to send it unfinished. I know it will get sent back, but what else can we do? We don't have enough money for a lawyer and the IRS is taking it's sweet time with my damn paperwork! Anyone else go through something like this?

Besides all that stuff, I'm hoping for a good week. Especially a good sunny weekend so we can go to the PA Renn Faire. The only down fall of today is that one of my tonsils(at least I think it's my tonsil) is inflamed and is killing me everytime I swallow! I think I am going to go see the doctor about it. Hopefully it's nothing ot worry about. Anyway, I guess I better do something productive at work. Hope everyone has a good day!

yep, it's weird alright... another insomniac night for me. I can't take much more of this - I'm so tired, I have to work all day & then teach class tonite. I'm so not prepared for my class (ugghhhh- i hate that). To top things off, the maintainence guy from my office called last nite to inform me that I'll be w/o a toilet today  . It was leaking and when he checked it out, it was bad news. He had to pull it up, break up the concrete and reset some mortar :o . So, inch'allah my neighbor will let me and my clients use her toilet all day  .

That's ggggrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrreeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaatttt! *insert Tony the Tiger here w/ a big goofy smile*

So noura... *trying not to slosh her can of soda*... how are you holding up so far? :hehe:

You know... I would love to develop the temporary lobotomy cap for those times during this process when my mind is making me insane. Just plop it in your head, flip a switch, the little propeller on top spins and whirs... you get a sudden blank look on your face, maybe drool just a little, then a peaceful smiles settles in. I suppose you could set it on a timer to shut itself off once the anxiety attack or obsessing has passed. Included would be a warning: do not use when operating a motor vehicle or heavy equipment.

Anyone want to help me design it?

Well hello,

Now I have to go pee !!! geez.

Anyways I hope you guys are well and you can sleep tonight I hate it when that happens.

Hicham is still sound asleep after a long night of work until 11 pm last night- poor thing! He likes it though and is helping prepare some of the Moroccan dishes at the restaurant. He came home smelling like lamb and pita which wasn't such a bad thing haha.

Oh apparently we can't get married at my city hall because Hicham doesn't speak enough English and they don't think he will understand what they are saying so we have to find someone who is willing to become a distrct commissioner for a day who speaks either french and english or arabic and english that can marry us... that should be fun. Anyone run into this problem and if so what should we do? We wanted to get married this week but it just isn't going to happen now with this issue.

Have a good one guys!

Vegas, Baby! ;)

Have you gotten your marriage license yet? From what I understand it may take a while to get the license in CA, so I'd get on that even if you haven't figured out how you'll do the actual ceremony.

Yeah we got the license yesterday I couldn't believe how easy it was! It took us 20 minutes from the time we walked in to the time we left with it. Amazing!

A two day overstay is just as bad as a 2 week overstay which is just as bad as a 1 month overstay. Just don't let the MONTHS pile on...

Hey Jean, I'll help you design it... I could surly use one specially today...

I keep thinking how did this happen...how is it that we're stuck in one place and can't do anything about it... did I do something wrong? Is it just his name or is something really wrong and I don't know about it...

Then the one thought that scares me the most... what if this is not meant to be... then the tears come... :crying:

Sorry to go on like this... I hope you all are having a better day... (F)

I asked they said it has to be a court translator which they don't have one for French and I asked if someone I knew could do it and the mean lady said "we will not know what they are saying".

Come on now!

Do you have another courthouse nearby? Maybe they will be more flexible. Do you know what the law is for marriage in California? In SC, a notary can perform the ceremony. It would probably be a lot easier to find a notary than to find someone who could be a "district commissioner" for a day!

Our civil marriage consisted of us both going down to the courthouse and applying for the license, me picking it up the next day on my lunch break, and him coming to my office that afternoon and signing it and having my co-worker (a notary) witness it and sign it . Wayy too easy! But it'll make our big wedding ceremony super nice by comparison.
