Well, if the current mailing address is what is going on the forms we are sending in, that is where it will go right?

I mean, a friend's husband in florida, same visa and everything, it was just sent back for no reason.

Have it delivered to your current mailing address.

I was going to say the same.

What other options are there?

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

There is never "no reason". It may be an illogical, invalid, or completely ridiculous reason, but there will definitely be a reason. The post office doesn't return mail as undeliverable just because they feel like it.

"How can my mail be returned as undeliverable? Let me count the ways..." (F)

Actually, there are too many ways to count. I just saw a post in the K1 forum where someone's NOA1 was apparently returned as undeliverable because their address was too freakin' long for the USCIS computers to handle. They mentioned something about subdivision, building, and unit number. Somebody else had their EAD card returned as undeliverable because they accidentally appended their apartment number to their street address in the street number box on the I-765 instead of the apartment number box. Somebody else (same thread) had their EAD returned because they'd filed a change of address, didn't include the immigrant's name on the change of address (different family name), and the letter carrier was pulling any mail sent to their new address that wasn't addressed to the people whose names were on the change of address form.

I'm sure this is just a sampling of what can go wrong.

If you've lived in your current home for a while, your address isn't so long you need to write it in a 4 point font, you haven't filed any forms recently with the post office that could confuse their tiny minds, and you are relatively careful filling out the forms, then you shouldn't have any problems.

List an active postal address where you can receive the mail (or someone else's that is checked regularly).

Phil (Lockport, near Chicago) and Alla (Lobnya, near Moscow)

As of Dec 7, 2009, now Zero miles apart (literally)!
