Just a quick question on the back of the Form N-445. One question 1. My wife and I are not 100% sure how to answer this question.

Have you married, or been widowed, separated or divorced? Should we select "yes" since we are married? Or select "no" since my wife who is taking the Oath didn't remarry after her interview? I was thinking of "yes". What did you guys put?

N-400 for Citizenship.

I am sure that these questions are for any change or whatever has happened after your interview.

Lace, if you are not entirely certain, you could leave that particular question blank and answer it at the ceremony. There may be some time before your wife is seated for the ceremony and there will be USCIS employees that are monitoring the line. She can clarify that question then, but I will agree with the PP to think that it's talking about any changes since the interview was conducted.

Lace, on the form it says "These questions refer to actions since the date you were first interviewed on your Application for Naturalization. The questions do not refer to anything that happened before the interview." And then again, right before the questions, it says "AFTER the date you were first interviewed on your Application for Naturalization, Form N-400:" and then follows the list of questions.

How much clearer do you want it stated that only changes since the interview are relevant?

Congrats to Armando. He may be as lucky as I am - never getting a jury summons. I have been a citizen for 6 years and have never been called for jury duty. If my hubby gets called before me, I would be very disappointed. I want to experience jury duty at least once. :lol:

Hello,

Thank you N400 2011 for your support!

I got my interview in Garden City on Wed. 6th of April.

Everything went well, I got to the waiting room (ground floor) to get my interview letter stamped.

I was told to go on the 2nd floor. About 20 minutes 11:00 AM (time of my interview), an IO called my name.

I first swore to tell the truth and then the IO asked me the questions from the N400 form, he was very organized and polite. He asked me to read and write a sentence + 6 questions. Also asked to review all the papers I had brought (bills, IRS transcript...) and kept all the copies to include them into my file. Everything took about 20 minutes.

After the interview I went back downstairs to wait and after an hour got my oath ceremony letter (May 5th in Brooklyn)! Really happy!
