This is torture! I have not seen my husband since the beginning of March of this year. There is no way we could go through a day without talking to one another. We are married for goodness sakes. Once a week? I love it when people give advice when they have not lived in the shoes of the ones they are talking about. Come on NVC... let me be with my husband again!!!!!!!

Oh my, I have read something about LDRs... and it was a great article, clearly this one wasn't. There's a much obvisous need in communication when you're apart, you cannot go to a damn movie, you cannot go shopping, you can't just be with you fiancé. It's perfectly normal to try to maintain the relationship. You need to communicate in order to be able to feel closer to your loved one. Me and my fiancé are trying to spend as much time together as possible. See, the thing is... I've read many articles about LDRs because I'm in one since 2007 and I always try to keep in touch with what's a must-have in order to keep the flame burning. :D I made a test about LDRs and here's my result, of which I'm proud by the way :D :

"You have the dedication to make it through some time apart. You're missing him to the point of physical pain, but your strong efforts to keep in contact help you stay in the know about each other's lives. He's putting as much effort into the relationship as you are, which makes it easy to trust him. He's too into you to ruin your relationship for the sake of some silly fling, and you know it. You return the favor by turning down dates with other guys."

There was also an advice, memorable advice, maybe most of you already know about this: Try sending him an old-fashioned love letter to boost the romance factor. Spray some of your perfume on it to help conjure up some good memories for him. For a spicier treat, try phone sex! :D :D

I hope I didn't bore you with my stuff. :P The test can be found on iVillage.com. I should look for the link... here it is: http://quiz.ivillage.com/love/tests/longdistancelove.htm

It may load a little bit harder, probably because it's a bit older than the new design of the website.

We talk and text daily (my phone texts to peru for free!) Skype ALL the time. I did notice that I always used to look forward to the weekends because I have the weekends off work. Now I dread the weekend because I know there will be no update on USCIS.gov and I gotta wait it out until Monday. I am suprised they don't ban me for loggin in so much...silly, but I can't help it. My fiance said I should try to log in once per week.....ummmmm, not possible! :bonk:

Oh, I totally get you. I log in from my fiancé's USCIS account a few times every single day. :D I know the feeling. But honestly, I think I'm being too impatient. We've only had our NOA1 on Sept. 7 and I've already gone crazy. :P

But... well, we had to go through his Naturalization Process(He's Romanian just like me, but he has dual citizenship now.) and it was so hard. I was not able to stop myself from being impatient for him to get his US Citizenship so that we could start the K-1 process. And now I'm crazy again because, though we're in the K-1 process, we cannot stand this waiting game anymore. :D
