Hi VJ!!!We are using immigration lawyer for our visa processing we are now in the next level of the journey. The caseworker emailed me last july last week that they submitted already docs to NVC..my question is how long will it takes our docs to NVC? the caseworker told me that she will just give me update as soon as NVC contact them..but how about they will not be contacted by NVC? what can u suggest? thanks..

Your lawyer will wait for NVC to contact them, this slows your process down tremendously. You do not have to wait for NVC to contact you and can get through NVC much quicker without a lawyer.

However, when we had our lawyer, she said that no one gets though NVC in less than 60 days. We fired them after USCIS and got through NVC in 25 days

Get your case # from your lawers (or even the USCIS case # would be enough) - and your will be able to track your case status on the NVC's AVR system over the phone. Phone # is +1(603)3340700, available 24/7 - just listen to the options in menu. Best wishes!

P.S. NVC stage took us more than 60 days, but we blame only ourselves - we had not prepared our financial papers.

Lawyer will not make any slow down. But most of them are 'reactive' and paper based preference guys. In NVC, online methods are faster than paper methods.
