i think some do and some just don't wanna bother with it and want to get you off the phone. because i called a few days ago regarding AVR telling me there was add'l info i needed to send. so i spoke to one of their agents. i asked her what it was they were looking for, and she told me i needed to re-submit a corrected I-864W for my kids. i asked her what was needed with my wife's case and she told me nothing because the packet for my wife was complete and that i did a good job in putting the docs together (i think she was just stroking my ego with that statement). but then again....maybe they don't look at the docs because she explained to me that when they process documents, they indicate on the system which forms were accepted. and if reviewer does not mark in their system a particular form is acceptable, system will generate letter.

but im on board with you guys about just waiting to here case completed.

I somewhat disagree with you. I spoke to an operator on the phone, she said I needed a document that was mysterious to me. I sent an email that night to the embassy, they responded rapidly in the morning. The Embassy suggested I contact NVC again because what I was told to retrieve for them they did not understand. So, after receiving that email I called again to NVC, when another operator told me the same thing, I said, "wait a minute", I emailed the Embassy and they don't know what your talking about. Immediately I was transfered to a supervisor who then looked or I would assume, looked at the documents, and said that the document that was sent in was not in the proper format, and I needed my wife to obtain another document in the correct format. I sent my wife to get the "correct format"...... I'm still waiting for that "correct formated pcc", but yesterday received an email from NVC that case is complete and sent to the embassy. I have my interview date and all..... Unless your saying someone reviews the documents rapidly before an actual "non ignorant" ( and I mean this from a training standpoint ) actually approves them....... then ok. but it seems to me that there is mass confusion at NVC.

Yeah that is probably one of the most frustrating things about this whole process. That being procedures are poorly communicated, requirements are conflicting between departments, misinformation is freely provided and frequent incorrect guidance gets all rolled into one. I guess the wonder is that we make it through at all.

I remember in College we were speaking about how bad things were done in particular area and one of the Students from Russia said Yes I agree with you but it worse in Russia. Not picking on Russia because its worse in many other places too. So I guess all we can say it this is as good as it gets!!! :bonk::blush::blink: Frighting hey... And we just keep, keeping on!!!

Tom, it's not the fact that things may or may not be better or that we get through it, because we do. It is that we tollerate this inconsistency. If this were a "private company" doing this, how would there sales volume be? The problem is GOVERNMENT! Yes, I believe that are taking measures which they should to protect us, but look at what has slipped by the seams. And you really believe some of the people on here are going to be tomorrow's terrorists? Nah..... Somebody's PTA.... and I think it starts at the top. Stop the waste and stop the senslesss regulation.... solve the problem!

Well I dont know who the Terrorists will be. I dont even know what they mad about. Its not just Radical Muslims. We have our own home grown ones. If it were easy to spot them then it would not be a problem would it. Dont under estimate anyone. Look at the Uni-bomber.

Yes I agree with you that small government is always best. We forget this country was founded on a Government by the people and for the people sometimes. Its a little turned around and has been for a while.
