true but I don't think the phone operators are reviewing documents while they are talking to you on the phone. :)

I would bet they dont review docs at all. Just dedicated to answering questions and reading from their computer screen the infamous "wait 6 to 8 weeks" statement or seeing we have moved to the next step and then letting us know. But then your dealing with the Embassy right? So do you have to call or deal with NVC for anything?

I would guess lots of calls to NVC are silly and should not be made but people being what they are just clog down the system. Then those who have reasonable and legitimate issues have to wait because

OMG!!! hi there how are you doing??? there is lots going on most of us got interviews for our spouses...My husband got an interview for November 1 and I am flying to Chile to be with him for his interview!!

Nope, not kidding. The template was followed to the absolute letter, and not putting too fine a point on it, English is my first language so there are no "lost in translation issues". I honestly believe someone screwed up in the first instance, and they demanded the written form as a way to cover up the screw up. I sent again it via postal mail on Tuesday so I guess I might hear from them by the end of next week (I hope).

Trying not to despair, I just haven't seen my husband since January and I really really miss him, as we all do miss our spouses. Thank you.

Same thing here except the never responded back to the email of tge DS-3032 COA my wife sent so i naturally just sent it in with the I-864 AOS and boom it is being processed. my timeline for that is royally screwed they have had it since 4th of October and it is still being processed today.

Same thing here except the never responded back to the email of tge DS-3032 COA my wife sent so i naturally just sent it in with the I-864 AOS and boom it is being processed. my timeline for that is royally screwed they have had it since 4th of October and it is still being processed today.

You should have at least received an auto email response for the Emailed DS 3032. If its now in their hands great! If not, you should send it again. IF I am reading you correctly the forth is only two weeks ago . I know it seems like a long time but it not unheard of. I am thinking you will hear something soon. Hang in there. :hehe:

Everyone, I don't know what to say or how it happened, by head is still spinning. I received an email today, dated yesterday that NVC had completed the processing of the immigrant visa. How could this happen? They sent me a checklist saying that one of the police certificates was not in the proper format and that I needed to have my wife get the proper certificate format. To this date, I have not received the certificate.

PS, her interview date is Nov, 8.....

I have been so discouraged because of this, and now look, in like 25 days I'm going to be with my wife.

Thank you for your help...... I will update my timeline when I get home this afternoon..

Yep in there hands and done finally. About to send off the DS-230 this weekend then get ready for the long wait of processing. WOooooo HOOoooooo! :dance: Being proactive is a must because about time they send emails or notify you of things you have lost days in the process.

Congrats to everyone that is moving on to the consulate stage!!!!!!!!!!

Strange turn of event finally got a reply today to the email we sent for the choice of agent sent on October 2, 2010....... little to late since the hard copy has already been processed and it has beat the email. Wow sucks when the snail mail has beaten the email of the same form.

I tried to look and see if your wife had her Medical yet. Need that as you know ASAP... Also If you have the time I would go to the organization who issues you PPC with the NVC checklist and verify the format is correct. Then bring any corrected document at the interview along with the checklist. If your current format is good ask if they will provide you a letter stating this is their official format for PPC. Hope you have the time to easily do this . It would be a shame to be delayed because of something this silly. Just my thoughts... Good Luck... and Congrats...

strangely enough I slept well last night.... Tom, I sent her to the location listed on the embassy website armed with the letter that explains what she needs in her native language. The one that was submitted to NVC was one that was done online, and you print it out, have it notorized and signed by the issueing authority. I will have in my posession, if it ever comes in, the one that she sent to me now 12 days ago that should be absolutely correct. I will not have time to go to her local police agency to get a signed letter or anything like that. It is a 3-1/2 hour flight to Rio DeJaneiro from her town.

i think some do and some just don't wanna bother with it and want to get you off the phone. because i called a few days ago regarding AVR telling me there was add'l info i needed to send. so i spoke to one of their agents. i asked her what it was they were looking for, and she told me i needed to re-submit a corrected I-864W for my kids. i asked her what was needed with my wife's case and she told me nothing because the packet for my wife was complete and that i did a good job in putting the docs together (i think she was just stroking my ego with that statement). but then again....maybe they don't look at the docs because she explained to me that when they process documents, they indicate on the system which forms were accepted. and if reviewer does not mark in their system a particular form is acceptable, system will generate letter.

but im on board with you guys about just waiting to here case completed.
