just found out, I got RFE'd..... Oh happy day!

I-130 NOA 1: 03/21/2010

RFE : NONE

I-130 NOA 2 : 7/19/2010 (no touch's, no emails, no text notifications) Received Hard copy in mail 7/26 2010.

NVC Received : 8/02/2010

AOS Bill : 8/03/2010 ( Received Via Email after calling on 8/2/2010 )

Paid AOS Bill : 8/04/2010 ( Paid Invoice electronically )

AOS shown as paid : 8/05/2010

Mailed DS-3032 : 8/05/2010

Mailed I-864 pkg : 8/06/2010

NVC Receive i-864 : 8/09/2010

NVC Receive DS-3032 : 8/09/2010

IV Bill (available for pay): 8/20/2010

IV Bill Paid : 8/20/2010

IV Bill Shows Paid! : 8/23/2010 (just waitin for the docs from my wife now) should be here next week!

I would guess lots of calls to NVC are silly and should not be made but people being what they are just clog down the system. Then those who have reasonable and legitimate issues have to wait because

I'm sorry to hear about the RFE. Yes, please call them and they will tell you want it is because from experience you will not receive an email from them until probably Sunday. If you know now what it is now then you can get it out by early next week.

02-25-2010 : Received NVC case number, but NVC is closed, so I can't give an operator our emails. :-(

02-27-2010 : Jumped the gun and emailed the VJ version of the DS 3032. Who knows what will happen :-)

03-01-2010 : Gave the operator both emails...waiting on DS3032 kit

03-02-2010 : Received DS3032 Kit; Resent DS3032 (just in case), Received AOS bill.

03-03-2010 : Paid AOS and IV bills; both are IN PROCESS

03-03-2010 : VJ email version of the DS3032 accepted (It was the one that was sent on 02-27-2010)

03-11-2010 : Both AOS + IV showed paid but processed on 03-05-2010 :-)

03-12-2010 : Mailed AOS packet. Waiting on my procrastinating hubby to send me his IV docs :-(

03-15-2010 : AOS signed for by St. Laurent at 10:03 a.m.

07-19-2010 : Received IV documents from hubby (Finally)

07-20-2010 : Mailed IV packet

07-21-2010 : IV Packet signed for by Peters at 10:15 a.m. (St. Laurent and Desmond are probably on vacation lol)

07-26-2010 : NVC starts processing IV Packet

08-20-2010 : Called NVC and was told that we received a "stupid" RFE on 08-18-2010

09-03-2010 : RFE sent to the NVC today....SIF please come quickly.

09-07-2010 : RFE signed for by Desmond at 10:16 a.m.

09-10-2010 : NVC acknowledges receipt of the RFE

09-30-2010 : SIF

10-01-2010 : Case complete as per NVC AVR

10-05-2010 : Interview date assigned for November 29, 2010 at 7:00 a.m. Approved

I called, they are looking for a Civil Brazilian Certificate.

I do not see that on the list of required documents, only policia do federal and seguranca publica.

I told the lady this on the phone, she said it may be their mistake, but it will take 15 days to review.

So, I sent out an email to the embassy in Rio asking them what it is and where to get it. Oh well, so much for spending the holidays with my wife.

I hope it is a mistake and if it is then perhaps the embassy can step in an have the NVC close the case.

Kevin is the civil brazilian certificate their document number? it is like a social security card for us but to them it is all their information. they need it to go places. see if it is this? thyey all get a card which has a number and their picture on it. they need it to get on a bus there to go to other cities and all that. it has their fingerprint on it with their mother and father on it and a picture of themselves. see if this is it...

Kevin i think it is their identification card... it is for civil life this card. i looked it up. ask your wife to send a copy of the identification card then get it translated.

Today 09/30/2010, received COA, AOS Bill and DS-3032 etc., and I have already PAID the bill $88.00.

  • 09/24/2010: NVC received the I-130 package from USCIS
  • 09/29/2010: NVC Case#, Provided both email IDs.
  • 09/29/2010: DS-3032 COA e-mailed to NVC
  • 09/30/2010: I-864 AOS review fee ($88) online payment
  • 10/02/2010: DS-3032 COA / ACL returned to NVC via e-mail
  • 10/04/2010: I-864 AOS status 'PAID'
  • 10/05/2010: I-864 AOS package FEDEXED out to NVC
  • 10/06/2010: I-864 AOS package delivered at NVC as confirmed by FEDEX e-mail ~ signed for by K.ST LAURANT
  • 10/07/2010: Received invoice for DS-230 IV fee ($404), and have made online payment
