And no - I don't want to be the star of the show but I sure would love to look like Monica Bellucci!

The way I see it - better to be "dork-ing around" while waiting than completely stressing out and loosing important neurons!

Steve McQueen maybe like in the Thomas Crown Affair or maybe Paul Newman in Cool Hand Luke. Just saying Jensen Ackles makes me shiver... Dean Martin would be fun... or Shawn Connery there's a mans man...since were wishin hey...haha Aah shucks what the hey guess I will just have to be me... Seems it has worked for me pretty good so far.

As for the insomnia - I got it on the 3d month in NVC and it's still goin strong! And the worst part is coffee makes me sleepy in the morning - WTH?!?

guys...just want to ask something....when u call nvc what did u said to them..did u guys ask them for nvc case number??? pls tell me,,coz they asking abt case number of uscis...they said that they already recieve our papers and then we have to wait 6-8 weeks for instruction..what was that...cant understand,,

When you called, they should have asked for the email addresses of you and your spouse and given you the NVC number if it was assigned. Since they didn't give you the NVC number, I would call back until they have it since you will need it later on. Until you have an NVC number, they will use your USCIS number. The next thing you should get is the Invoice ID number in an email. After you have the Invoice ID number you can then pay your two bills online and submit the paperwork for the next step. You should be getting those papers together now to help speed things up later. Don't worry about their time estimates since they always use 6-8 weeks for an answer, but don't worry about that because it seems to be moving faster than that right now. Once you have paid the fees and submitted the paperwork, then you wait for the case complete. This currently seems to be running around three weeks. Then you move into the interview queue which is probably even more stressful since the wait times are quite variable. Does this help you? If not, let me know and I can try to make it more clear. I know that I wish I had a clear understanding about how this whole process worked before I got started.

For us, it took three days for NVC to receive the package and about a week later we got the bills in an email. You should be able to call now and give them your email addresses and hopefully get your NVC number. In the meantime you should get the paperwork together so that you won't have any delays.

Got my fee bills finally AOS is processing payment but IV is not invoiced yet. Will be sending off this ton of paperwork tomorrow for the AOS. It is taking them forever to answer emails as it is backed up to 2 weeks reply time from them. We emailed the choice of agent days ago. bhope for them to get choice of agent request and enter it in soon. Might send a hard copy of DS-3032 as well but will wait and see.

@Lady_bug: It took us two weeks EXACTLY to get the NVC case number and the fees were generated and available to pay few days after Keep checking the AVR tho and once you get ur case number, don't forget to give them your e-mails! Good luck!

God, I hate those "standard" answers... I'm sorry, JD... I think you should get it by the end of the week tho When we got ours, on the 14th day from approval there was nothing on the AVR, but on the 15th when we called it said they entered it the day before (hope I didn't confuse you!) Just a liiiiiittle more patience!

johndoe12, if they received your case, they should already have your case number. Are you checking AVR? I think if you talk to an operator, the will have the number. From a logistical point of view, I doubt a case is received without a case number being assigned. But NVC never goes with what logic dictates anyway, so I can be wrong.
