wow NVC is going so fast for you! I hope that's a sign they are speeding up. My process through the NVC has been so slow.

Fast so far but they dont have the packages yet. Hope it keeps up but I'm not to confident it will stay at this speed.

I had to wait 2 weeks to be invoiced the I-864 bill even though I called them just about every day. It almost took me a month to get invoiced the IV fee. I had everything ready to go from the start.. I would be case complete by now if they let me mail everything in as fast as you did. I still have another 2 weeks at least before I should get a SIF.... so frustrating

I hear ya loud and clear. Not sure why my case is moving fast at this point but I wont complain. I'm hoping about three weeks for SIF but who knows.

Hey, sorry to cut in! You must be using a lawyer, right? I see from ur timeline the AOS and IV bills were generated at the same time...

nrodgsxr - you're moving pretty fast too so don't you complain!

I had a lawyer yes but I fired him for the NVC process. I think I can get it done faster. I didnt fire him until after the bills were generated.

Smart move, if I may say so! We still haven't fired ours - don't see the point in it! But we basically did the whole thing ourselves - he just went tru the forms and corrected a few mistakes! And of course - VJ helped ALOTTA!

Well I hope so. My layer didnt do ####### said fill out these forms then he copied what I did and mailed them. VJ is the way to go for sure.

Lol my expedite moved me through the USCIS ultra fast but not so much the NVC. I just hate how slow everything in the government is. It's so inefficient. I would know b/c I work in the government. Waste Waste Waste...

Update: called NVC and they told me that the file has arrived but still no case number assigned. Give it 6-8 weeks according to the person. I HOPE NOT caz that is just ridiculous if i have to wait that long.

I or we have not gotten our interview date with the US EMBASSY yet. I am hoping for NOV now that I missed Sept date.

For those who are married to Filipino ladies. I am also now finding out that the Philippine government has document requirements also other than having a current Passport. The ones that I became aware of recently are

- CFO

- CENOMAR

Are these required if your already married (CR-1)? Does anyone know of other documents that may be required? This is getting stupid...

John you know that the default answer to everything. You'll have your number this week for sure. Look how fast your moving now... well compared to USCIS...
