yep.

I think what gets to me is that if i didnt receive an RFE then i would have an October interview date. My wifes birthday is early october so i will already be there to see her at that time. Staying the whole month of october actually.

Just would have been great if she had her interview while im there in October. At this point if she gets one in early November I will be happy and most likely just stay in india till her visa arrives. Then bring her back with me. Just be a bummer if its end of November since thats a LONG time for me to stay there.

Shes not upset since she gets me there regardless. :bonk:

Usually within 3 days of the DS-3032 being added to the casefile.

it's been 6 days since i sent the ds3032 thru email...my husband called the nvc to confirm if they have received my ds 3032 and the operator said that it will take sometime coz just like the mail they have a lot in pile.. should i be worried? and what will happen if it will take a lil bit of a time to pay the AOS bill? will it hurt the entire processing?

I hear you... I have mixed feelings about going to see my wife before the interview. Her birthday is Sept 26th. She however, is working and if I went there I would want her to not go to work. Not fair but that's the way I am. haha. Then she would tell me she has to. Thats how it went last time we were together. So rather than go through that again I think I will wait... :hehe:

I know she can handle the interview but would love me to be there. Then staying at her home would be difficult just because its to busy for me... I guess these mind games will go on till the end... It also seems like the price of Tickets has gone up $500 in the last few years. God i miss the old days...haha

the day it was 'sent in'

is

NEVER

the day it is added to the casefile.

This varies, as there's a queue, and it could take anywhere from 2 days to 3 weeks.

If it's been more than 3 weeks, call NVC, see what's up.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

UPDATE

Just got off with NVC operator that confirmed my case is closed and is now ready for an iterview at the US embassy in Chile. He informed me that unfortunately I will not have an October interview since they only schedule interviews the first two weeks of the month it will be in November. I will have to call back the second week in October to get the interview date. I wonder if that information is accurate what do you guys think?

The good thing is case is closed!!!

I think this VISA gauntlet has tested everyone's mental status. We have the same complete date. I have heard nothing either but remember, 5 days does not a week make. I did check the DHL courier tracking and a package was sent from NH to Manila on the Sept 14th and delivered to Manila on Sept 17 at 430 pm... Don't know if my paperwork was in that package or not but see like it might be. I don't know about the appointment being set but it seems to be taking about 2 weeks from what I have seen from others timelines...

This link will help you try to track what has left going to your country...

http://www.visajourn...o-us-consulate/

Hang in there its not hammer time yet... :bonk:

That link didnt work...does anyone know where I can find that info? John my case was completed and closed and was told by operator I would not have a date for October because they schedule the second week of the month Blah blah....

So do they send the docs to the Embassy in Chile next month? how do I check when it leaves NVC and how can I check how backed up Chile is?? If anyone could answer please let me know thanks!

usually, the sequence is

--case complete at NVC - but this is really 'documents complete' - all the documents have been added to the casefile, and the 'documents' are complete then it's

--final review - there's a queue for this - but it takes anywhere from 1 day to 6 weeks , depending on the queue then

--casefile lobbed into the 'available for interview queue' - this queue varies by embassy - many embassy interviews are scheduled the 2nd week of each month - some are not, some are 'insta-queue' as well - it would behoove you to learn just what the queue 'is' for yer Embassy.

--appointment scheduled (optional) - if NVC handles this for your Embassy

--casefile sent out to Embassy then

--interview date

so to get a 'case complete' at NVC, these days, is just another timetick in the events - it used to be that within 3 to 5 days of 'case complete' the final review would be completed as well. That's not the case these days, at all; due either to VOLUME AT NVC or extra scrutiny done during the final review process.

if you had a 'case complete' this week, or last week, I'm sorry to say, with the current LOAD at NVC, you've probably missed the window for getting scheduled, as the final review process is taking some time. Suggest you

--wait for next month and

--learn exactly how interviews are scheduled for yer Embassy.

Good Luck !

Just confirmed final review was completed today, here is where it gets confusing...He told me I did not make October interviews so maybe for November. So I wont get email until October? NVC will schedule the appointment and how can I check if Chile is backlogged?

Thanks Darnell!!!!

Thanks Darnell!!!!

when ya 'miss the cut' for 'October Interviews'

it means

your casefile not finish 'final review' prior (or during) to the 2nd week of the month.

So, alas, yer pitched forward, eligible for interview scheduling, into the next month's batch o stuff.

Stuff is important, but mostly, I hate stuff.

If I were in yer shoes, this being a Friday @ NVC, I'd be having that USC Spouse call in, get a supervisor (this part is really important)

and then BEG to get in for an interview for the 'September Round of Scheduling' - even though it's past the cut off date. Beg much, beg often, remind them that the 'final review process' was the lagging factor, and not any 'documents complete' status, but most importantly -

B E G !!!

You've got NOTHING to lose, in the attempt.
