I got the same answer 18 hours before they SIF'ed me. So, you shouldn't pay any attention to them robots at the NVC.

Thank you so much for your reply I will just keep checking, I will make another call tomorrow and I am checking the pay portal as well...

GREAT NEWS VJ FRIENDS... OUR INTERVIEW WENT WELL. MY VISA WAS APPROVED!!!

Mr Monkey and I arrived at 8:00 am for our 8:45 appt. We did not wait on line long outside. Maybe 2 mins. We went through security and then right inside to the waiting area, where we waited and waited and waited. Process took 5 hrs. Whew!!

After about 3 hours we were called to window #13...the lady there were grumpy looking, she hardly looked at us, she asked few questions, about my husband past life..previous marriage and kids, change my pictures for the new ones I had there (thanks God cause the previous one were awful)... thensaid: wait the consular officer is going to call you....

again we wait for the other 2 hours, the unfriendly embassy was almost empty when we finally were called... another officer attend us...he run teh interview in english and the most amount of question were for Mr.Monkey some for me.. and thats all they gave us the pink thing and went to DHL...pay the 20 soles...and that is on wednesday I will have my passport :):star:

Thanks Loto. I just got off the phone and the first person I spoke didn't understand why they stated I did not meet the poverty guidelines after seeing my assets. He said it was a mistake and to ignore it. Then I ask to speak to his supervisor who was just giving me the We have to do that speech. I told her they have to when its accurate but I disagree with the statement and she still didn't see my point. She then said well we dont decide anyway so I said fine then dont say anything. But again she didn't get it. Then I told her the US GOVERNMENT could benefit if they were as financially responsible as most of its citizens were. Hope she doesn't put any negative comments in my file... :bonk:

Bottom Line I have Case Complete and My paperwork will soon be going to the Embassy in Manila. I saw where your 2006 Memorandum stated 12 months for bank statements. I was looking at this update which didn't state the 12 months requirement at all. http://travel.state....grams_2863.html

I will make sure my wife has the 12 months available for her interview. What a FUBAR> Good news is I should be getting appointment letter soon.... or within 6-8 weeks

Damn! Just saw your thread.. LOL, i'm quite late with the news! Working my butt off at the hospital, lots of sick people. And if I lose my mind going through this process, I'll end up like one of 'em!

Keep us posted with your Consular Processing in Manila. I don't have any idea how that goes. I told my hubby to have his medical this week or the next, so we'll have time to fix if anything goes wrong (hope not though).

BTW, mailed my AOS yesterday. Proof of delivery received at noon today. When do you thnk they're gonna start working on those? I'm still waiting for my hubby's IV, he said it should be here in 2-3 days (i hope!), then i'll forward that to NVC as well.

KIM11,

Well its good that you are staying busy and not focusing all your thoughts on this crazy process. Its also a very important job that you are doing and I thank you for doing it.

I will let everyone know about the interview once she get it. I hope the interview will be a simple and straight forward meeting, with someone who has good reasoning skills. Just waiting for the Appointment Letter right now.

Yeah, this process to me is a perfect example of why Governments power needs to be limited. They seem to make something simple complicated just to justify their existence.

Give it at least a week for your AOS then you may see something. They seem to be moving along fairly well with this stage compared to the NOA2 which is disgraceful.... Express mail from Philippines takes at least a week from mailing. Maybe sooner if you're in CA. If he sent it regular mail then a month or more might be needed.

You'll need to be patient,

and wait on the incoming email. If it's been more than a week, check yer spam/bulk folders

IF it's been more than a week, call back today, ask specifically -

'Please send me the AOS FEE BILL via email'.

The elusive thing, that yer seeking, is the IIN, so you can log in to the payment portal.

Rarely is the IIN given over the phone.

USUALLY when the AOS fee bill is sent via email, NVC is 'ready' to accept payments.

Chase down that AOS fee bill, today.

here's a mini-how-to - when using the payment portal for status - http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/221785-ds-3032-slowdown/page__view__findpost__p__3560467 please click it, have a read?

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

-=-=-=-=-=R E A D ! ! !=-=-=-=-=-

Whoa Nelly ! Want NVC Info? see http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/NVC_Process

Congratulations on your approval ! We All Applaud your accomplishment with Most Wonderful Kissies !

PPC means PCC (Police Clearance Certificate)? Didn't you submit PCC and case complete? What does the checklist say?

If case completed at NVC, you need to arrange that missing document for the Consulate Interview. Otherwise, you will have 221(g) at Consulate interview and hold.
