TomD, this has to be a false RFE

They won't SIF you with a pending RFE.

I just checked the SIF and its still stands as SIF. I didn't speak to anyone as nobody is home on the weekends. I just heard it on the AVR. It stated a letter was sent to me on 9/9/10 and that there was something missing from my package. That it. I will surly call first thing Monday. Funny think is I spoke to someone regarding my SIF and they didn't say anything regarding a RFE... Just an emotional roller coaster. False or Actual I am sure its slowing me down, so whats the difference really ... :blush:

When we went through NVC last year we had the best luck getting through late at night. Good luck!

I would guess lots of calls to NVC are silly and should not be made but people being what they are just clog down the system. Then those who have reasonable and legitimate issues have to wait because

Well this kind of sucks. I called the AVR and it stated some information was missing from my package and a letter was sent to me. So I will call them on Monday and see whats up. I got the SIF but then an RFE is looks like. Just have to wait :blush: and hopefully its something simple. I hope they didn't lose any thing. That would not be good. :angry: One step forward and two back... Don't think OCT interview will be happening now. :crying:

Tom I think that may be a mistake...why SIF and then an RFE??!!! it doesn't make sense...:blink:

yea Tom. sounds so much like false RFE.. but even that..soo annoying!

btw..i got pkt 4 in email today. looks like all's not well. they seem to somehow think, marriage, birth and police certificates i sent are certified copies. i sent them the originals!

now they expect originals to be brought at the time of interview! i have heard of this happening in many cases with india. wonder what did they all do finally?! heck..time to start yet an other research or start another thread .. :(

Hope the mail is fast for you guyz! :thumbs:

I sent my last IV pack dox Aug 31st and hubby still doesn't have them.. And for my "joy and pleasure" he is going for a week in AZ... Arrrgh - couldn't have picked a worse time to go... *headbang* :angry:

I told my husband to send it via fedex, the most expedited one there is! LOL! Yeah, I hope I get it a few days after he mails it. Don't want to delay mailing NVC all the requiremens, so they could start reviewing them right away....

12/22/09: I-130 receipt date (Sent by lawyer to CSC)

8/20:10: Approved/NOA2

9/03/10: NVC # generated, gave e-mail adds

9/08/10: Received IV/AOS fee bill

9/09/10: Paid AOS/IV

9/13/10: Mailed completed AOS, enetered into the system on 9/14

9/19/10: Mailed completed DS-230, entered into the system on 9/22

10/13/10: CASE COMPLETE!!!

04/06/11: Case upgraded from F2A to CR-1

05/03/11: Final review completed

05/17/11: Interview date scheduled!

05/20/11: Forwarded case to USEM

06/10/11: Interview - APPROVED!!!

Not sure what your husband is speaking of. You know PI different places may do things differently. My wife got the NBI and another one from her local police. It was called Police Clearance Certificate. I had a badge on it with Philippine National Police. It looked real official. It had For Travel Abroad on it valid for 6 months and all that stuff. It came from the Los Banos Police Station on blue paper with official looking stamps and everything. I told her she also needed the NBI cause that's what was identified by the US Visa site. The NBI took her a little more time to get. It had all the same info but was on Yellow paper and was a National doc and not a local one. Both of these document were on 5 X 7 paper with photos stamps and signatures. They were not very expensive and had no record so it was really a no brain-er. Again I was trying to remove all doubt. You'll do fine just dont relax or get lazy cause you're so close to the end... :P Nice that your going to go back for his interview. I though about it but flights seem to be more expensive these days. I decided to give her, her time with family and friends. She would also feel less pressure with me not being there. :D Good Luck

They are a little expensive, also since I'll be bringing my baby with me (1s time to travel alone with my baby, wish me luck! :lol: ). Sooo close, love to hear that!!! Yeah, I think it's me who's putting a lot of pressure to my husband. He was like, everyhing's happening so fast, and we're cramming to get everything done. I told my husband to go ahead and do his medical this week. Soin case something goes wrong (I definitely hope not!), we'll have time before the interview.
