Tom- Thanks. The I-864A is accumulative but not the regular I-864. I shall call them today and let them know it is a failure.

P.S. The PI is one of the only places that I have read about where you can do the medical ahead of time. Everywhere else is appointment letter based. So leave the Monkey alone! :P She is lucky that they are even letting her in without a letter.

Monkey- Good luck with everything!

Emily- Thanks. I hope so too.

Good luck to everyone still waiting for things this week!

Sorry again Teya. I guess your options are getting very limited. With regards to PI being the only place. I guess I am confused on that point. First off. Its the USA that sets the standards for US Visa requirements. They do evaluate and approve medical facilities because they have to. There are to many facilities around the world that are so inferior that they would be challenged to be considered a first aid station by US standards. Once approved however they are still a business and the service they provide is not free. Why they would not allow someone to get a physical who is willing to pay them is beyond my comprehension. You pay you get isn't that how free enterprise systems work. The tail should not be wagging the DOG! Just as they were willing to do it until Monkey didn't have her passport. Well the passport is one of the requirements set by the US Govmt. They must have an appointment letter is not one of those requirements or it would be applicable to all. Just saying... Sometimes I think we are to quick to take directions from those people who should be serving us. Don't do it! Know what is required and then expect no less or more. They are there for our convenience not the other way around. Just my view.

P.S. Yes sometimes I get peoples feathers ruffled but only because they are wrong and I let them know about it. haha :D:P but its never personal...

I talked to a person. I mean come on they don't enter it in the system. i asked last night to someone there if they are real busy and they said they are slammed. i see that normally it takes two weeks to get put into the system and today is two weeks and mine isn't in yet. now they give a message for 6 - 8 weeks. what is that all about?

We got the number on the 15th day and it said it was entered the day before! So, I have a feeling tomorrow will be a good day for you! :)

Are you trying to say Latinos are never on time???  you are RIGHT!!! you are too funny, yeah I told the husband to be ready!! but in all fairness Miss Monkey was expedited it went so fast for her, she ran to the embassy for the letter and forgot to get her passport.. In Chile you must have the letter otherwise no medical...go figure lol maybe it's the same in Peru?

I am planning to go for his interviw so as soon as I get a date I will book my flight and then arrive like two days early to make sure all is in order! but I am sure he will have his medical done or else he will really need a doctor after I'm done with him!!:bonk: :bonk:

Ok I am off to Manhattan to visit friends see ya later!!!

That's also what I'm planning to do! I'll wait for the interview letter then fly to Philippines maybe a week before the interview date to be with him. I'm also taunting him to get all the requirements for interview and medical ready, just in case. He'll be sending hs IV package to me tom with all the requirements, so when my payments cleared, I'll be all set to mail NVC everything.

i still haven't received the case number. it has been two weeks since this was approved. they said they received a few days ago. they told me to wait 6 to 8 weeks for instructions. oh come on already!!!!!!!!!!!!

Don't worry too much. The Notica date on my NOA2 was dated 8/20, and didn't get my case # 'till 9/3! So yours should be close, just keep on checking the AVR.

tom's post makes me think too.. cud be that since they send the report of problematic cases directly send to embassy- it cud lead to unsolicited medical reports at embassy?! ?! not very convincing tho'

THANKS for the Congrats JESAL, MONKEY, 2010, KBcrand1, Mr&MrsD, mamamimi and everyone else that I may have forgot to mention.

Jesal your will be shortly its the RFE that set you back a little. I dont think you will have long to wait.

Emily, Yes the paper work I submitted was so far sufficient enough to keep it moving. I also think the bottom line helped. I just wanted to make it clear to the reviewer what they are looking at and what my facts were. Just in case the person doing the evaluation needed some help with critical thinking... Didn't want to leave it to chance.

You should take a lesson from Monkey and get your things ready for Medical. Stay ahead of the curve it will make your life less stressful. Thats what I have told my wife to do. I hate waiting till the last minute although I know some people live in that house every day of their life. I remember being in Costa Rica and Port Rico in earlier days ... Everyone was always late... Drove me nuts!!!

Hey Tom, I didn't get to see what papers you sent NVC. Can you post it again. I'm scared to get RFEs, and I'm getting ready to send NVC our AOS and IV, and a really good advice is very much appreciated! :D:D:D

Kim we all have different situations. I am not employeed so I had to show more than most would because I dont have a job with stedy income. While you are completing your's remember what there concerns are and what your trying to show them. Sell your position. Nobody knows it better than you. JinyAndJony,

I understand what you're saying but it still makes no sense to me. :bonk: Why would any business for profit not accept work from someone who is willing to pay them? Surely they dont only do VISA Physicals for a living. I would show them other proof of your being in the process like Payonline printout, other NVC correspondanceor what ever I could think of. I would also speak to higher ups (directors) if some clerk is telling me no... Just make sure you meet all the VISA requirements. I would also have a print out on the medical requirements from the USA. Those should be the requirements that are needed for your physical, period.

I heard some from India stating that PPC were also impossible to get but then someone brought in another document and that was good enough. Sometime people just need to be shown others the light and the CASH!!! When I was in PI I saw time and time again how people got into this we always did it this way mentality without having any other basis for it. I on occations spoke to the department head (nicely) and on occations I dropped names and even had people I knew call them. Just need to do stuff like that to get dummies off of dead center. JMHO

Yes get that stuff ASAP... In reality you should have them already... Your speaking of the DS 230 stuff right. You should also give it a once over before he sends it to you Kim. You know Pinoys are not detail oriented or use to being 100% accurate. The Don't worry be happy will come back and bite you, in the YOU know what. Everyone I know over there thinks I am so strict. Well maybe but I saw them as being undisciplined and I know you know what I mean. I can't tell you how many times we had to go back and get our Marriage certificate corrected. It was unbelievable. The Mayor new me very well haha. So you need to look for errors and have him make corrections. Then once its correct have him send it to you express with what ever courier is available to him. Thats what I did. If your not good at the details then find someone close to you to assist you with the review. Thats the way in my view to avoid RFEs.

In all fairness I was a Quality Manager for years and lived in the details of documents which is also where the Devil resides... Good Luck.

LOL! I hear you! I'm also a little ####### 'bout he paper works. I don't want simple avoidable things delay this process. We weren't expecting the Approval notice from USCIS, to tell you honesly, so everything we kinda rushed.

I'm really confused about something though, on all correspondence we got from NVC, they spelled my husband's name as: Robert John Jr. G. Esmas, but it's actually Robert John G. Esmas Jr.

Would that matter? Also on his BC, his Jr. was put under Last Name, but on all forms we submitted to USCIS and NVC, we put his Jr. as part of his First Name.

And should I put the other spelling of his name under #2 on DS-230 (Other names used or aliases), and should he get NBI and Police clearance for both names?

Okay...lol Look at it this way, you can not control what the NVC or USCIS writes. Many of us early on were concerned because them leaving out the middle names of the beneficiary. I was concerned because of the way Filipinos use middle names and it changes once you're married the middle name becomes your maiden name. Not something we do here in the US. You have his Birth certificate, Maybe a drivers license and other documents that show his name. He doesn't look that old so it cant be that many names he has used. If there are different names then you might have to explain them and list them as Aliases and also get NBIs with those names. Does he have a passport? That the name they will use for the VISA. I would not worry about the Jr. Thats a simple clerical error. If your not comfortable then speak to someone at the NVC or even the Embassy. They have the final approval. I would also start preparing a letter explaining the confusion so by the time you need the letter you already have worked out the words to us. I wrote mine several times. If your husband has used different variations of his name them put them down as Alias just like you say you did. If they are all very similar like the one above then I think the NBI with his legal name is enough. I also had my wife go to her local Police Station and get a certificate there in addition to the NBI certificate. Just remember simple is best and when simple is confusing you need to explain it well enough for anyone who knows nothing about it can understand it. Good Luck I think you will be fine.
