Teya, Loto THANKs. Yeah I am suprised really how fast things seem to be moving. Must be my clean living and humble life style.

Yes I could live with OCT... THAT WOULD BE SWEET!!! By then I should be walking again. I dont know how busy the Manila Embassy is but I know things move slow in PI. Congratsssssssssssss TOMD!!!!! Emily you are next!!! OMG isnt this exciting!!!..

OK...people do you want to read how was my day today? let me give u the long version, I really need to do catharsis... so... here I go...

9.20 mom called me at the office: "embassy called you, they said u can go there and pick up ur letter for the medical tests, oh and ur appoinment is on monday!", I was like wow!!!! .... took a taxi to the embassy, reach there probably by 9.50, someone ask me to wait in line, I was the first, by 10-10.05 someone go out, "what do u need miss?" I said: "I am here to get my letter for the medical" they said "oh! I am sorry we only give that letter from 9-10" ( :o WTFrak! I was here earlier and u just come out), any way I said: "ok", called husband and he told me to ask for a northamerican person... my sweet baby, he didnt realize that I never pass throuth the main door, they keep everybody outside like in a high security prision... any way after 4 attempts, finally the guy had mercy of me and request my Id, allow me to go inside, wait a lil bit and got letter... :star:

Now, they give it today and the interview is on monday! so.... have to run for the medicals!!! there are only 3 doctors in Lima that are allowed to do the test... took another taxi 10.45, by that time one of the doctors will be close, she only see people until 11, the other until 12,so I was hopefull, is one is close the other will be open... reach to the clinic ... one consultory: "sorry lady no appointments till 16th" Me: "are u kidding me! my appointment is on monday" ... "I am sorry no dates avaliable til that day"... run to the other consultory that by that time suppose to be closed...great they are still open!!!.. request the medical..."sorry no space until the 20th"....called inmediatly to the last doctor...ring, ring, ring... no body answer... called husband he said explain our situation!!! (he was really pushing me to get the medical) the lady at the counter just listen my husband, he was speaking a bit angry, the lady said let me see if the doctor can see u.... she go in and after few minutes come out "the doctor willl see u please give me ur passport" ...OMG!!! I dont have it with me, this was like last minute thing!...(plus nobody carries the passport just because... well I dont!!!)... after asking, begging and even crying :crying: ..."please I swear I bring it later" ..."no sorry the doctor need to see the passport"..."but I dont have the passport right now"..."well if someone cancel we will call u...." of course nobody cancel and nobody called me!!! so husband said go tomorrow very early and stay there just in case somebody doesnt showup! so that are my plans so far...

More updates tommorrow ... today I cried a lot of times, cried because I fell frustrated, I feel happy, I feel sad, and because I dont know what to feel...I was begging for today and it is here now.... why is kinda painful? I am starting to feel sad for all the thing I will left behind...

Anyway I need to keep focus please, pray, cross ur fingers, and send me positives energies so the doctor could have mercy of me and make my tests....

Kim I would let your lawyer know in Writing. Make it clear and to the point. Tell him to not perform any additional work for you upon receipt of your email or letter without written authorization from you. Also ask for your final invoice or bill. When you pay it make sure it clearly states Payment in Full. When they cash it, its a done deal. Well that's the way I would do it. Also keep copies of your notification. These lawyers are not cheap so you want to stop the bleeding ASAP.

Also think if there are any paper or documents that he may have that you dont. Ask for them in the letter or email. If you do it later it might cost you more.

Good Luck... TOM

Thanks Tom, I think I'll do that. I finished paying the 1st $2500 (1st contract) months ago. When I talked to her, she said she'll send me a proposal if I want to keep them for the "Consular Process", which will cost me another $2k (actually she said, she'll give me a 10% discount, so it'll only be $1800)! I'll e-mail her and tell her we're not signing the new contract.

awww Miss_Monkey, I felt your frustrations and confusion just by reading your post. But, like what I was thinking going home from work tonight, there's always a reason for everything. I applied for my citizenship April 2010, passed the test but they denied my application. I applied a day early, denial decision made 7/21, I was eligible to apply 7/22 (they couldn't wait 1 more day to approve my citizenship!). They told me I had to re-apply, pay another $675, do the whole process again (biometrics, though mine was just done 1 month prior to that, test and interview, and waaaiiiiittttt). Anyways, I was very depressed, SULKING, 'cause I was planning to upgrade my petition after I become a citizen (I wasn't really checking the priority dates for I-130 and stuff at that time). Then, come 8/27, I got the Approval Notice from USCIS for my husband! I was NOT expecting that. And now, here I am, going through NVC process, and whether or not I become a citizen soon, don't think it's gonna matter anymore.

Life is good. God is great! Good luck tomorrow, hope it'll be better than today.

BTW, October 4th I'm sched for my citizenship interview, 2nd time around.

No! Hey, don't panic! :P

We want to attach it to the e-mail we send with the expedition request that's why we are waiting. And as far as I know, we are supposed to send the e-mail BEFORE we send the AOS&IV packages...

Miss Monkey It's ok to cry, you let it all out because today everything is going to work out for you!! Wow you got this whole new life ahead of you sweetie so concentrate on that!! Today before you leave make sure you got everything you need with you, we tend to forget when we get nervous ( I do too) I wish you lots of luck and I pray that God will open every door he has to open in order for you to get this done!! Everything will be ok!!

AVR still stating 6-8 weeks. Just got off the phone with the NVC Rep. He confirmed that my Case had finished preliminary review and said it will take a few days for Final review. Then its off to the Embassy. I tried to get him to give me a window on when I could expect an interview date but he wouldn't bite... :bonk: Regardless I am happy to be at this stage.

Guess all the explaining in the letters I put with the packages worked. NOT RFE's and now wasted time. And me without a job...:rofl:

Emily yeah get ready girl. Your just a few days behind me and I dont think weekend count but what the hey its only two days. They seem to be moving right along!!! At least we are all in the Class of 2010...haha
