Okay I think I made a Stupid RFE mistake. Let me get everyones input on this. I sent out the AOS packet yesterday, but I didnt paperclip or staple the documents together. Did any of you that sent your AOS packet send them in loose leaf or coupled together with a paperclip.

I would guess lots of calls to NVC are silly and should not be made but people being what they are just clog down the system. Then those who have reasonable and legitimate issues have to wait because

I spoke to the operator about having my lawyer removed, she just told me to e-mail them a written request. I'll try calling again later and speak to a different operator, maybe the next one will tell me otherwise.

I don't think they would give you an RFE for that!! so no worries, I mean I am sure the officer looking at your documents has a stapler right?

and the answer to your question is yes I stapled and I used a large clip to put all together, but it should not be an issue if you didn't

P.S. I haven't told my lawyer we're firing them. Any advice on how I could do that? :P

I think it's bedtime for me too. Still got to go to work tom.. zzzzzz.. hope my angel will let me sleep a little bit longer later.. :lol:

Kim I would let your lawyer know in Writing. Make it clear and to the point. Tell him to not perform any additional work for you upon receipt of your email or letter without written authorization from you. Also ask for your final invoice or bill. When you pay it make sure it clearly states Payment in Full. When they cash it, its a done deal. Well that's the way I would do it. Also keep copies of your notification. These lawyers are not cheap so you want to stop the bleeding ASAP.

Also think if there are any paper or documents that he may have that you dont. Ask for them in the letter or email. If you do it later it might cost you more.

What!! Oh Tony your screwed!!! May as well pack up your marbles and go home... haha I dont think it is a problem as long as you put your NVC number on ever page of all documents. The big fear to me would be their losing or misfiling your paperwork as it got separated. I have this vision of someone dropping your package and the papers go all over the place... :bonk: I also hope you have copies ready to send them incase they do lose some of your paper work. :blink:

AVR still stating 6-8 weeks. Just got off the phone with the NVC Rep. He confirmed that my Case had finished preliminary review and said it will take a few days for Final review. Then its off to the Embassy. I tried to get him to give me a window on when I could expect an interview date but he wouldn't bite... :bonk: Regardless I am happy to be at this stage. :dance:

Guess all the explaining in the letters I put with the packages worked. NOT RFE's and now wasted time. :thumbs: And me without a job... :rofl::rofl:

Emily yeah get ready girl. Your just a few days behind me and I dont think weekend count but what the hey its only two days. They seem to be moving right along!!! At least we are all in the Class of 2010...haha
